Andrew, the plans I was referring to were the plans with 500 minutes as well as data and messaging. True, the bare bones 500 minutes plans are cheaper, but that's not what I was talking about there.

Matt, I'm sorry, but Google Voice isn't VoIP. It uses the carriers' voice networks for phone calls. Google Voice is really just a call forwarding system run by Google. The fact that it is run by Google does make it very confusing as to what it actually is.

Yesterday I went to my local Wal-Mart for a few things as well, and passing by the electronics section I immediately went for the Zune HD. I must say, if I could ever go back to Windows (I tried with a home-built Core i7 desktop, I really tried), this would be the laptop I'd get. The only downside is the lack of an optical drive, but that's not exactly a huge hurdle to jump over in day-to-day computing
