- It seems like its marketed to everyone indeed. I am no longer a BlackBerry user but am excited about this release, it may be the replacement for my wife's current Pearl if it makes its way to AT&T;at any time.
- The 2G is really fine for just a basic internet device, the only issue that I have is the 4G is only $50 more, which seems like a better deal. However either way, the 2G and 4G will surf the web fine.
- RE: HP announces Mini-Note battery availability [Gadgetell]Thanks for the update, I have a 6-cell and wanted a 3-cell, but at that price I will not be getting one. Simply crazy!
- Its OK Josh, and don't tell anyone, but I also saved mine. ;)
- Nothing biased about Nokia here, they have some great handsets available, just happen to be focusing a little more on SE now. We have had and will continue to offer Nokia coverage in the future.
- [UPDATE] Post edited to correct images and properly reflect the image source.
- RE: Asus's Atom-based Eee PC 901 shows its face [Gadgetell]Good catch on that, thanks for the feedback. Made the corrections to the post above.
- RE: Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" now available [Gadgetell]Glad you found the site! That was just a light hearted comment in that most of the die-hard Ubuntu fans would have already known about the upgrade. Hope you enjoy 8.04 and Gadgetell in the future.
- Its really unfortunate, hopefully they will ship a little quicker!
- Thanks for the tip, I am considering the purchase and a sleeve style case would be nice to have!
- Thanks for the comment, while they are not expensive, its always nice to hear they are of good quality before you plunk your money down.
- It looks like HP has updated the 2133 Mini-Note page, now the $749 model that I stated was the better value it the most expensive, the previously mentioned model for $849 in no longer displayed.
- Without any official confirmation, from what I understand and believe, these models are the same as what has been around, meaning a built-in card reader is included. I would chalk that up to a bad Best buy description, heck they even have the laptop pictured with the wrong OS.
- What will be funnier is those addicted to MySpace feeling the need to purchase it because its a limited edition, but I am not seeing it. MySpace does have a lot of users, but I cannot imagine most of them caring about what computer they access MySpace from. Maybe its just me.
- @Anon, That is great to hear, I only wish I had not been so lazy myself :) I had the N800 for a while and loved it, the N810 should be very nice. I hope you enjoy it!
- I am not sure how wide the availability is in the UK, but a search of Amazon UK does have them listed and available.
- It seems to offer a lot, I would love to test one of these out.
- RE: Samsung looking to offer 256GB SSD's by 2009 [Gadgetell]That is what it would come out to based on their statement, but like most things that sound a little too good, I will not hold by breath for this to come by 2009. Even if it happens I would imagine price would keep most of us from actually taking advantage of it, at least for a while.
- RE: Asus Eee PC 900 in the wild [Gadgetell]Well said, even as a big fan of the Eee PC myself, once you get to that $600 or higher price tag I am just not sure it holds the same value.
- I am sorry, I thought I had some invites available, but am currently out. Should I get some more I will keep you in mind.
- RE: Samsung drops the ultra-portable P200 laptop [Gadgetell]While personally I am enjoying seeing the latest craze with the ultra-portable and smaller sized laptops, they are truly not the best choice for everyone. It imagine this phase will die down in time and we will get back to seeing more "normal" 15-inch sized notebooks becoming popular again. You do make a very good point, the smaller laptops, such as the Eee are difficult to type on.
- Good points Sam, while I was aware GrandCentral was/is free (i use it myself) I should have pointed that out in the post. I was taking a different slant with Google using the homeless help angle to gain some popularity for the service. As for the previous announcement in the past, that I do not remember happening. Thanks for the feedback!
- I don't know if I would feel safe enough to say an tech item it totally future proof, but would commit with relative comfort to buying a Blu-ray player now.
- While it did seem strange that this would happen, I did not find anything else (recent) about it. Sadly I have to admit that while I was skeptical, this was one seems to have gotten me. I did see some older stories, but just did not put two and two together. Thanks for keeping me in check!
- I should clarify my thoughts just a little bit. When I use a laptop, it is often mixed in with a good number of people moving around so for me the idea that a power cord will come out is actually a savior. I can imagine the JerkStopper works well for its intended purpose.
- RE: Nokia now offering the N82 in black [Gadgetell]Thanks for keeping me in check here, I was referring to the availability (or lack of) here in the U.S. I should have been a little more clear with that in the original post. Glad to hear that you like the N82.
