T-Mobile G1 in-the-wild style images
With a little more than twenty days until the official release of the G1 we are already beginning to see some in-the-wild unboxing images starting to appear. Sadly, the use of the word “unboxing” is used a little loose here because they include just a few images of the box and a few of the handset still in the box and nothing of any great detail.
More than anything, these just serve as a little teaser for anyone waiting to get their hands on a G1. These pics, of course, came from an anonymous source, but its a safe to think that they possibly came from either a T-Mobile or Google employee. Otherwise the photographer would have taken the standard pictures of the handset in hand from every angle possible. Sadly, at this point, that earlier user manual gave us a little more in detail information. Continue on to check out the rest of the in-the-wild images…
Dell Inspiron Mini 9 begins to ship, enters customers hands, gets unboxed
Thanks to the magic of the Internet, we can pretty much guarantee that just about every big tech product that is released will be showcased online in the form of multiple unboxings. Overall, these can be a way to make you slightly jealous if you really want a product and cannot afford one. However, they are also a great way to see “real world” comparisons and give you a better idea of what exactly you are purchasing.
So without any further build up, the latest item to begin unboxing ceremonies is the Dell Inspiron Mini 9. Just like any good unboxing video, this offers a few comparisons showing off the Mini 9’s true size. Overall, things seem to be looking good with some quick first impressions that it is a “solid, well-made, light netbook with a very good, albeit glossy, screen.”
In the meantime enjoy the video…
Gadgetell Unboxing: Jawbone (new) Bluetooth Headset
As soon as Aliph released their latest Jawbone headset, which we have seen referred to as the “new Jawbone” and also the “Jawbone 2” it became a must have item. Aside from the promised better sound quality thanks to the “military-grade NoiseAssassin technology” the promise of a 50% smaller headset was hard to pass up. Having used the original Jawbone since it was released, this is a welcome addition. The smaller size alone makes this money well spent, because ultimately my only real complaint about the original was the large size. The new Jawbone comes complete with a charger, three sizes of the ear piece and four ear hooks, two of which are leather covered.
Aside from the non-standard charging cable, I think Aliph has done some great work with this latest headset. The charger will work in a standard wall outlet or over a USB connection, which is nice, however the headset end is special for this headset. It does work well, however a miniUSB connection on the headset side would have been a little nicer and a lot more convenient. This way it could mean one less cable to carry, and would also make for an easier replacement should it get lost or damaged.

Gadgetell Unboxing: Everex Cloudbook
The Cloudbook showed up as available early Friday morning at Wal-Mart and we wasted no time in placing an order. It arrived on Monday evening as expected and here is a nice unboxing set to show you the Cloudbook in a little more detail. With some very positive first impressions we are thinking we have a winner when compared to the Eee PC. Stay tuned for a more in depth review comparing the Asus Eee PC and Everex Cloudbook in the not too distant future.
LG Super Multi Blue player gets unboxed
It’s not the most exciting unboxing I’ve ever seen - since we already have seen it in person - but it’s still note-worthy. Yes, that’s right, LG’s new Super Multi Blue player has been unboxed...already. Luck (cool name) over at Gadgetaholic threw up a gallery of fresh pics of the device. Hit the link below to check out the rest of the photos.

Gadgetell Peep Show: Microsoft Zune, brown edition
Yup, I know the Zune has basically already come and gone but I was doing a little spring end-of-the-year cleaning and wanted to put these up. Overall the player was cool. I definitely like the scroll function on my nano more and wish the text would scroll across, as opposed to staying static (so you can’t read what the entire song title is as you search through). My other complaint was that after using the Zune for three weeks in NYC (on the street, subway, and trains to Conn) I have yet to run into a “social interaction” - the reason I bought the Zune in the first place. I know I could go on about the Zune but I’d rather you just enjoy the quick peep show and when the time is right, we can blog more about Microsoft’s DAP.
