SanDisk introduces the Memory Stick Micro
Although the new Memory Stick Micro (M2) by SanDisk (co-developed with Sony) is targeted mainly for Sony Ericcson’s mobile phone customers, the M2 can also be used in any device with a Memory Stick PRO Duo slot, thanks to an adapter. Available in 2GB, 1GB and 512MB, the small storage devices should be well-received by Sony Ericcson’s customers since their telephones come with very basic storage options.
The increase in GBs means my K750i can now accomodate more videos and pictures, which in turn means less time spent downloading files to my PC. Shipping worldwide in January 2007 (though a bit later in Japan), the M2 mobile cards are expected to cost: $119.99 for a 2GB card, $54.99 for 1GB and $44.99 for 512MB.
