MacGyver themed music wristwatch by Skullcandy

by Natesh Sood on May 3, 2008 at 08:07 PM

MacGyver Skull Candy watch

Watches usually aren’t specifically themed into TV shows, or anything really. They usually just perform a few special functions and some even offer things like video, music, and more. However, this new watch by Skullcandy is MacGvyer themed and will basically play music in addition to telling you the time.

If you are a hard-core MacGyver fan, it’s going to be hard to turn away from this watch. Basically, it’s like an iPod Shuffle, but only in the sense it shuffles up the music that you add to it and offers up 1GB of storage. Some other cool features are that its flash-based storage, also works as an audio recorder and has a built-in USB plug. Furthermore, it supports both MP3 and WMA audio files.

The MacGyver themed watch is currently available on the Skullcandy website, for a slightly expensive price of $200.

Skullcandy intro’s hydration backpack, with built-in speakers

by Robert Nelson on Apr 27, 2008 at 07:14 PM

Skullcandy Hydration backpack

While we certainly love our computers and gadgets, some times we just have to put it all aside and get out into the fresh air and sunshine. Skullcandy has just released a backpack that will not only keep you hydrated, but also entertained thanks to the built-in speakers.

The backpack allows you to plug in your MP3 player or cell phone and then listen to music or talk handsfree with the speakers that are located in the upper section of the arm straps. The Skullcandy Hydration backpack includes a 72-ounce water-tight bag that will keep your feeling fresh, along with plenty of storage room for the other items needed for your adventure.

The backpack also includes a built-in CD/DVD holder which although a nice option sounds like it goes a little against getting outdoors and making good use of the hydration pack. Either way, the Skullcandy Hydration backpack comes in gray/orange, is currently available and retails for $129.99.

Gadgetell Review: Skullcandy iPhone FMJ headphones

by Robert Nelson on Mar 5, 2008 at 06:30 PM

Skullcandy iPhone FMJ headphones

Product: Skullcandy iPhone FMJ headphones
Price and Availability: $79.95, Currently available for sale, although they are noted as being out-of stock until March 1-15, 2008.
Rating: 10/10
Pros: A comfortable fit, great sounding and a solid, durable feel.
Cons: Not sure I can really call it a con, but at first the cable seemed a bit stiff. It did become a little more flexible with a few days of use.
Overall: A great choice for iPhone and/or BlackBerry Curve users alike.

Skullcandy release the iPhone FMJ headset with in-line microphone

by Robert Nelson on Jan 17, 2008 at 03:46 PM

Skullcandy iPhone FMJ Earbud Style Headphones

We have already shown you the new Skullcandy SD card headphones, but these new earbud style headphones deserve some attention as well. Skullcandy, from personal experience make good quality headphones at good prices.

Their latest are the iPhoneFMJ headphones, which were first announced at CES 2008. They are earbud style headphones that are designed for the iPhone, or perhaps more important they are made to work with music phones so they will work equally well with other phones such as the Blackberry Curve. The iPhone FMJ headphones feature a solid feeling “tightly-wrapped, coiled metal cable” and an in-line microphone. They are available in black, silver or chrome and retail for $79.95, they can be found online at Skullcandy.com. I had an opportunity to see these headphones first hand on the show floor during CES and can say they appear to be very nice, based on experience with other models I can imagine they will sound equally well.

SkullCandy announces headphone to kill Mp3 players

by Natesh Sood on Jan 13, 2008 at 04:09 PM

SkullCandy headphones
At CES, the company SkullCandy unveiled a pretty cool new pair of headphones that have a unique feature. It comes with a SD slot so all you have to do is load in a SD card filled with music and you can listen to it without the need of an MP3 player.

It can even work with any type of SD cards, so if you own let’s say an 8GB or even a 16GB one, it will work and then you have access to loads of music. It will also come in 3 different colors, orange/brown, yellow/white, and black. Furthermore, it comes with a rechargeable battery, and all the controls on the side of the headphones. This pair of headphones look to be pretty cool and I’m not sure why SkullCandy kept it so low profile during CES.

Expect it to start shipping in March/April for an unspecified price.
