Granite Digital lets you store up to 1.5 TB on your G5

SATA Dual Drive Mounting KitRunning out of storage on your computer can get annoying.  Having way too much storage on your computer is fantastic.  That’s why Granite Digital, a manufacturer of SATA, FireWire, and SCSI storage solutions has announced that they’ve begun shipping a SATA Dual Drive Internal Mounting Kit for the G5 Mac.  If you’re looking to pack on the gigs, the kit is capable of handling 1.5 Terabytes of storage (JBOD, RAID 1, or RAID 0 configurations).  The old and new model G5s are both compatible with the device using the two different kits that are being offered.  The will set you back $99 and is available via the company’s website.

HDMI for your PC

HDMI MotherboardUniversal Abit announced that the company is about to unveil the first HDMI motherboard.  The motherboard, Abit IL-80MV, is designed specifically for Intel’s Yonah, Merom, Core 2 Duo chip.

HDMI MotherboardThe motherboard features a 667MHz front side bus, DDR2 533MHz bus, Firewire, dual SATA 3.0 Gbps interfaces, and optical HDA input/outputs.  The kicker is the 15-pin D-sub analog and HDMI video out. The HDMI output will support HDCP signals...meaning that this is perfect for Vista or a high definition TV.

The board is expected to enter into mass production this June, with retail availability that same month. A price for the motherboard has not been set yet.
