Enter to win a Voodoo Envy 133 or IdeaPad S10, courtesy of Notebooks.com

Our buddy Xavier over at Notebooks.com currently has a excellent contest running, they are giving away a chance to win either a Voodoo Envy 133 worth $2,199 or one of three IdeaPad S10s.
“We will randomly select one grand prize (Envy S10) winner and three (Ideapad S10) winners from the pool of respondents who have completed the survey, including all open-ended questions by September 3rd. Winners will be notified of their prizes by email by Sept. 16.“

Lenovo’s S9, S10 IdeaPads hit the FCC

This latest FCC showing comes not as not much of a surprise, but seems to almost be a formality, a right of passage so to speak. We have already seen the IdeaPad S9 and S10 a few times, but at least this listing makes them a little more official.
An interesting item to note that has come from this particular listing is that it covers both the S9 and S10 IdeaPad, and it also has just one User Guide, which just goes to show how little difference there will be between the two models. The main difference of course would be the display size. The S9 has an 8.9-inch display while the S10 has the slightly larger 10-inch display.
Otherwise things seem pretty standard here although there is a nice “hard drive/RAM panel” on the bottom of the notebooks, which would lead one to believe that both of those items will be easily serviced by the end-user. Keep reading to check out a few of the dissection images…
Lenovo makes the IdeaPad S10 official, will ship in September

Lenovo has officially unveiled the IdeaPad S10, which is going to be available beginning in September. The IdeaPad S10 will be available in two options, one with an 80GB hard drive and 512MB of RAM for $399 and the second with a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM for $449.
Other features of the IdeaPad S10 include are a 10.2-inch widescreen LED backlit display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 4-in-1 multi card reader, express card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Ethernet, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam, a multi-touch trackpad and a near full-size (85%) keyboard.
The S10 will be available in white, black or red and will be made with “advanced thermal engineering” which is reported to be designed to keep some of the heat away from the palm areas and the bottom of the notebook. Keep reading to check out some more images of the IdeaPad S10…
