Dell rolls out 32GB SSD equipped pink, red Inspiron Mini 9’s in Japan

Remember that red colored Inspiron Mini 9 that Michael Dell was spotted carrying around during the All Things Digital conference this past May? Well, it appears that some customers will soon be able to grab an Inspiron Mini 9 of their own in red, and also pink. Dell has just released both new models, but sadly, as of now, they are available only in Japan.
Additionally, and perhaps a little more exciting than the new colors, is the option of a larger SSD. Customers in Japan can also now choose to get the “platinum package” which includes a 32GB SSD. The Mini 9 with the larger SSD is retailing for ¥54,980 or about $565 US and also includes the standard 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and Windows XP.
Hopefully, we will see the new colors make their way over outside of the Japanese market, or at the very least that larger storage option.

New Nokia E63 hits the scene trying to un-Blackberry the masses
Following on the heels of its big brother the E71, Nokia just released its newest in their E-Line, the E63. It’s a candybar style phone shooting to bring “the QWERTY keyboard form factor to a broader audience at a great price” according to the Nokia website.
Unfortunately, Nokia isn’t telling too much about the inner workings of the phone or what all makes it different from the E71 quite yet. What we do know is that what Nokia is using as its big draw is being able to switch back and forth with a single key press between the corporate e-mail and calendar mode with the personal mode which features e-mail, websites and photos. Nokia also serves up 1GB of cloud storage on Ovi when you buy the E63. And of course, there is the obvious Wi-Fi connectivity. . . .
Philips announces Bluetooth capable GoGear Luxe

Usually, MP3 players serve only a few purposes such as playing audio and probably video. It is pretty rare to find good Bluetooth embedded in an MP3 player. However, Philips has recently announced their new MP3 player that incorporates Bluetooth 2.1 technology for hands free calling.
The GoGear LUXE is a MP3 player that pairs to your handset via Bluetooth. If you play a lot of music on your phone, you know what a battery drain that can be—the LUXE would alleviate that problem.
AT&T offers up the Sony Ericsson W580 in red

AT&T has just added yet another color to the rainbow of Sony Ericsson W580 handsets already available. The W580 was previously available in black, white, gray, pink or green and it will now also be available in red.
Aside from the color addition, the features and pricing remain the same. The W580 is a music centric Walkman handset that has a slider style design. It features a 2.0-inch TFT display, a 2.0-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth support. It also has the exclusive Shake Control, which allows you to control the music playback such as skipping and playing tracks simply by flicking your wrist. The W580 remains priced at $99, which comes after a two-year agreement and along with a mail-in rebate.

OLPC XO Laptop now in limited edition red

While the original XO Laptop in green is nice enough looking, there is always something that makes it sound special when its labeled as a limited edition. In this case the latest limited edition is a red model of the XO Laptop. There are reported to only be 100 of these special models made and they are all slated for the developers that are working on the dual boot Windows XP and Sugar Linux systems.
Aside from the red coloring, the models also offer 2GB of flash memory, which is the minimum required for Windows XP to run. No plans have been announced for a future release of this coloring, so chances are you will never see one in the wild, that is unless a developer goes against the path and decides to drop theirs on eBay, but I would not count on that happening. Keep reading to check out a few more images of the red XO…
Scarlet Red T-Mobile Sidekick Slide now officially official
I’m not sure why a lot of people seem excited about this, but T-Mobile has just officially outed the Scarlet Red version of the Moto Sidekick Slide, as we earlier reported. The new version offers a purely cosmetic change over the old one, so that means you still get the same big, clunky slider with QWERTY-keyboard that could be considered a whiz bang gadget—back in 1999. You should be able to get first dibs for it by paying up $199.99 a piece with a two-year service agreement. Visit local shops or online stores for deal specifics.

Creative gets a little more colorful with the ZEN

Two new colors for the Creative ZEN have recently begun to show up online. Wal-Mart currently has a new pink color, while Buy.com is listing a red colored model, and while they are still not listed on the official Creative site the pink model is listed as in-stock at Wal-Mart, the red model from Buy.com is temporarily sold out.
The newly colored pink ZEN is listed as a Wal-Mart exclusive and is the 2GB model which retails for $69.98. The Buy.com red model is the 4GB model and is retailing for $98.24. Aside from the new coloring they will retain the same features which include a 2.5-inch display with a 320 x 240 resolution, FM radio, microSD card slot for additional storage and they offer support for a wide variety of audio and video formats. Looks like a good time to drop the pink and red, after all Mothers Day is just around the corner now.

Valentine’s Day red Zune 80 going retail

For Valentine’s day, Microsoft created a special edition red Zune 80 to celebrate, and cash in on the holiday. That Zune remained for just a short time, and was later brought back, but availability was limited to just Zune Originals. Overall it seems like it must have been a hit because Microsoft has decided to make it available everywhere. Cesar Menendez, the marketer for the Zune, confirmed this today and stated that they are already “beginning to make their way into retail stores.“ So if you are still wanting the red, hit up your favorite retailer that carries the Zune, if its not already in stock, it should not be much longer.

Palm releases the blue Centro in Mexico

We first saw the blue Palm Centro when it showed up in an image from a user guide that was posted on the Palm website. Since then the Blue Centro has remained a mystery, however Palm along with Movistar and Telcel have just announced the availability of both the blue and also a red model.
It had been different carriers, different colors, not its moved on to different countries, different colors. Hopefully Palm will decide to release the blue model elsewhere in the future, but as of now they are not making any promises.
