Sprint, AT&T could soon get the LG Voyager

by David Gonzales on Apr 16, 2008 at 10:57 AM

LG Voyager

We all know that the LG Voyager is currently one of the hottest handset available from Verizon. And if you recall, it was launched on Verizon’s network as an exclusive handset, and so far no other mobile network have been able to offer it as part of their handset plans. Well, that might change soon enough if this statement by an LG official holds true: “We plan to expand the supply of Voyager to AT&T and Sprint within this year. That will lay the strong foundation for LG in the North American market.“ This statement was quoted in the Electronic Times, where the electronics manufacturer boasts that sales of its iPhone-contending handset has reached the 1 millionth mark last at the beginning of April. If this happens, LG will have made the right choice by making one of their best handsets available to even more consumers. Maybe it might even match up to the sales of its mortal enemy, the iPhone, once it hits the other networks. Who knows?

Update Our source from over at IntoMobile are claiming that they were contacted by an LG Spokesperson to tell them that the LG Voyager VX10000 was not going to come to Sprint and AT&T, and that it was just a rumor. Apparently, it was just a fake statement thrown around the Interwebs by parties that are currently being tracked down for identification by LG. And the fact is that LG won’t be rolling out the Voyager towards AT&T, Sprint, or any other carrier any time soon. So I guess there won’t be any touchscreen handset bloodshed after all.

BillShrink logo

Startup BillShrink aims to assist cell phone users in finding the cheapest available plan with various add-ons to suit your individual personal needs. With so many cell phone plans available on the market, users often find themselves ending up with something that they don’t actually need. Often times wasting tons of money for add-ons they paid for and will not actually use. BillShrink hopes to address that problem and aims to help users avoid spending money they do not need to.

So, how does BillShrink plan to help users minimize cost on cell phone plans? By analyzing individual usages and needs. Users will be asked to enter their cell phone number and password associated with the account. BillShrink’s technology will then analyze usage patterns of that particular mobile account, taking into consideration the most-called contacts and networks, user’s average phone bills, calls per minute made by users, and some personal information such as user’s home zip code. After analyzing these data, BillShrink will then present a comparative list of less expensive plans available for the users.
