Following up on the recent confirmation that Rogers will be indeed offering the iPhone “later this year” we are now left to wonder just how affordable their data plans will be. AT&T

Today, AT&T started offering a new text plan specifically for iPhone users who have disabilities. This text plan will be extremely helpful for people who either have weakened hearing or speaking abilities. It will be officially called the Text Accessibility Plan (TAP) for iPhone, and will be available for both new and old iPhone customers for a fair price - $40 a month. And what exactly does 40 bucks a month get you? Unlimited text messaging, Web browsing and easy access to e-mail, that’s what. You can find out more about this new plan and whether or not you qualify for the said program from AT&T’s web site.

Rogers intros new PC data plans, good news for Canadians

by Robert Nelson on Jan 20, 2008 at 10:38 PM

Rogers Flex Rate Plan for PC Cards

Canadian PC card users rejoice, Rogers has just announced a new four tiered rate plan for their PC cards. The Flex Rate Plan has options beginning at $65 per month and go up to $100 per month, ranging from 1GB of included data up to 5GB of data. The good news with these new plans is that if you are on Tier 1 and go over your 1GB of included data, you will simply move up and be billed at Tier 2 instead of having to pay huge overages based on the Tier 1 level. All plans are based on a 12, 24 or 36 month agreement and tethering is allowed.

A great option, although it would be nice to see a lower level at less than $65 per month for those looking for a simple basic service.
