MusicGremlin 8 GB portable Wi-Fi audio player
Imagine having all the music you want in the palm of your hand (ok, we know that’s not too hard these days). Now imagine that you could instantly “beam†any song you want – wirelessly – to your friends, and download anything you want – with no PC connection needed!
Wish granted...MusicGremlin is a portable music player that downloads and shares music wirelessly via Wi-Fi. You can download music directly to its embedded hard drive, then MusicGremlin organizes it, plays it, and shares with other MusicGremlin users.
The secret to MusicGremlin is an exclusive music download service available for use with the product. Users can either opt for a subscription-based model, wherein they pay a monthly fee for “all you can eat” downloads of DRM-protected Windows Media music files or can also choose the pay-per-song, or “a la carte” model. Under this model, most complete albums go for about ten bucks and individual songs are the industry standard of $0.99 per song.
We are looking to get our hands on one of these devices to see how they compared with your standard issue MP3 player, but I expect that we will be impressed.

Motorola RAZR V3m with V-Cast
Verizon Wireless and Motorola today announced the launch of the Motorola RAZR V3m V CAST music-enabled phone. This device was announced a few months ago in April at CTIA 2006, together with the entry-level Motorola W315.
The Motorola RAZR V3m is the CDMA version of the original RAZR V3 handset. It features a 1.3 megapixel camera, video capture and playback, music player up to 1GB of removable MicroSD memory and speech recognition calling. The big deal is the new V-Cast availability so you can download music, wallpaper, video and more to your handset, as well as access Verizon’s music store.
You can get the Motorola RAZR V3m for $149.99 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.

Stylish LG handset
Few ultra-thin phones garner as much attention as Motorola’s RAZR V3, but I believe the LG MG810 will too, be the talk of the town.
The clamshell phone is stylish and about half inch (15mm) thick. It features 1.3-megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth, MP3 and polyphonic ring tones. It also has keys on the front cover, dedicated to the music player. The external media keys respond not by touch, but by the heat associated with your finger, avoiding accidental battery discharge while bouncing around your pocket. There has yet to be an announcement from a US carrier, release date, or price.

Two Verizon - Samsung handsets
The Samsung A870 and A930 had been rumored to be released by Verizon and now it has happened. Both handsets appeared on Verizon’s site and with Verizon logos over the weekend.
The SCH-A870 is loosing the rumored 2 megapixel camera but will still be a VGA unit. It will probably also lack EV-DO data, but will compensate with a low price range. It still is a decent clamshell phone with two color displays and an internal antenna.
The SCH-A930, a clamshell phone, also has an internal antenna. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD slot, integrated music player with dedicated keys. While the phone seems nice on the insides (262k color screen) and has some good features the exterior display is disappointingly grayscale.
