BlackBerry Bold now available in Germany, still not in US, Canada

The BlackBerry Bold seems to have begun its worldwide roll out, and both the US and Canada are left waiting, as neither even have even had an official availability date announced.
The latest to shift the Bold from the coming soon to available status is T-Mobile Germany, who joins Movistar in Chile. The one thing that is certain it the pricing seems to be widely varied, we saw Movistar launch the Bold for an expensive 299,990 Chilean pesos (around $588 US) while T-Mobile seems to have taken the low approach, with a price tag of just 129.95 euros (around $200 US).
Lets just hope that when the Bold finally lands here in the US and Canada we see similar pricing to Germany.

Movistar becomes first to launch the BlackBerry Bold—in Chile

Movistar in Chile has just become the first carrier in the world to launch the highly anticipated BlackBerry Bold, and it is pretty clear they are excited. In fact it almost seems like they are just rubbing it in the faces of BlackBerry fans worldwide, making the bold (pun intended) statement of “Primeros En El Mundo” which translates as “First In The World.“
The Bold will set Movistar customers back 299,990 Chilean pesos, which is around $588 US and that comes along with a two year agreement, which is more than just a little on the expensive side. Especially considering Tiger Direct has recently offered it up for sale unlocked for $649.99.
Well, if nothing else this release does give the rest of us just a little hope. Now lets just hope that other carriers follow through and keep their latest projected release dates.

Palm releases the blue Centro in Mexico

We first saw the blue Palm Centro when it showed up in an image from a user guide that was posted on the Palm website. Since then the Blue Centro has remained a mystery, however Palm along with Movistar and Telcel have just announced the availability of both the blue and also a red model.
It had been different carriers, different colors, not its moved on to different countries, different colors. Hopefully Palm will decide to release the blue model elsewhere in the future, but as of now they are not making any promises.
