Gadgetell Interview: Medeploy’s Christian Taylor; changing movie distribution
Medeploy is a relatively new company aimed at one thing: movie distribution. Providing the backbone to create a store (rather quickly and quite intuitively) the company is working with big movie distributors as well as a “so ease your Grandma could do it” DIY crowd to get movies into consumers hands. I had the chance to grill Taylor about his company and how it is going to change the distribution model.
Gadgetell: Tell us about what you do.
Taylor: Basically what we do is like Google Maps for movies. We’ve built this tool that companies and individuals can build on to make theirs. We provide the APIs so you can really nail the look and feel without interfering with the efficient functionality of our slick movie distribution. It is a developer app, not a widget.
Gadgetell: How did you get into this?
