GadgetellThis week we’re working hard to keep up with E3. While things here are not as huge as last year, the show got hot and exciting very quickly. The big three (Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo) have had their press conferences and announced the new games, system changes, new functionality, and accessories, now it is our turn to give you a taste of our mind. Microsoft shares vision of Live Anywhere

by Doug Berger on May 10, 2006 at 06:07 PM

Live Anywhere

Amidst the pre-E3 announcements today, Microsoft announced their new Live Anywhere service.  The service essentially allows gamers to take their Xbox Live profile with them on any of their devices.  The service will be compatible with your PC, Windows Mobile smart-phone, Xbox 360, and even Java enabled handset.  With Live Anywhere, gamers will be able to track their gamer tags, message friends, purchase content for any device, and compare rankings with friends.  Games can also be played through the service.  Since obviously you’re not going to be able to play a 360 game on your phone, the titles will be scaled down (or up) depending on the active device.  For your Vista PC and Xbox 360, expect to see some pretty sweet cross-platform titles in the works.  Check out some screenshots after the break.
