Microsoft preparing a limited edition Joy Division Zune

by Robert Nelson on Apr 18, 2008 at 06:47 AM

Joy Division Unknown Pleasures Album Cover

It seems like forever since we last had some news regarding the Zune, and while we cannot say anything bad about The Joy Division we had hoped that when the Zune came back into the news it would have been for something a little more exciting.

The Joy Division are currently preparing for their upcoming DVD release which will hit the retails shelves on June 10, and Microsoft will be releasing the limited edition Zune to match. The Zune is reported to feature the design from the bands 1979 album called Unknown Pleasures, which was originally created by Peter Saville.

As of now, Microsoft has not released any images of just what the Zune will look like, instead we only have an image of the original album art, so we need to use some imagination here. I cannot help to wonder though, is there even a market for a Joy Division limited edition Zune?

Rumor: AT&T MediaFLO launch date, pricing revealed

by Robert Nelson on Apr 17, 2008 at 07:16 PM

AT&T officially announced their mobile TV, MediaFLO service just a few weeks ago with an original expectation to have the service go live sometime in May. Well it turns out that that timeframe will hold true, and the service is now expected rumored to launch on May 4, it will also officially be called AT&T Mobile TV.

Initially there will be three options available to subscribe to, a Limited, Basic and Plus Plan that will cost either $13, $15 or $30 a month respectively.

The Limited Plan will include Fox Mobile, CBS Mobile, NBC, and NBC News, the Basic Plan will include the same as the Limited Plan with the addition of Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, CNN Mobile and ESPN and the Plus Plan will include all of the previously mentioned channels along with an exclusive channel from Sony Pictures.

With the plans priced as they are lets just hope that the exclusive Sony Pictures channel is really worth that extra $15.

Jawbone Limited in Packaging

Bluetooth headsets are never really cool looking, well they may look cool, but users generally look a little dorky wearing them. Amongst the best looking, not to mention the best sounding has been the Jawbone from Aliph, and they have now gotten a little better looking. A set of three new models courtesy of FuseProject, the Jawbone will now be available in a white “Trash Talk,“ a black “Dirty Talk.“ and a gold “Sweet Talk.“ All three models will be available in just a “very limited quantity,“ so if you feel you must get one of these, you better act quickly. Of course limited edition Jawbone or not, you will still look like a dork when wearing these around in public.

Keep reading for a closer picture of each of the headsets…
