Motorola KRZR finally makes its way to Cingular
The CDMA version of Motorola’s KRZR K1m has been out for Sprint, Verizon Wireless, Alltel, and U.S. Cellular for quite a while now leaving you GSM subscribers in the dark. Your wait is over, because Cingular (err AT&T Wireless) is now shipping the KRZR. The phone comes in blue and sports a 2 megapixel camera, speakerphone, and a digital audio player. Unlike its CDMA cousin, you shouldn’t expect a lightening fast data connection since it will max out at EDGE. If you’re not planning on downloading obscene amounts of content on the slim-phone, then it shouldn’t be a problem.
Pick up Cingular’s MOTO KRZR K1 for just $249 with a 2 year contract, or $399 for just the phone. Plus, right now they’re have a few discounts to tack on so it will come down to just $99 if you’re a new customer.

Verizon unveils Strawberry Chocolate and Fire KRZR
Just released by Verizon, new Strawberry Chocolate and Fire KRZR mobile phones. These two phones are timed perfectly, and ideal for Valentines day. Wives and girlfriends should love these phones due to the slim style, music features, and the pink/red colors. I expect these to be a huge hit over Valentines day, especially paired against the “old news” Motorola RAZR phone.
There are no changes to the phones other than their glossy new colors. They both cost the same price, $99 under a two-year contract agreement.

Cingular finally swoops up the Motorola KRZR
The Motorola KRZR has been out for some time on Verizon, recently launched on Sprint, and is now set to hit Cingular. The only real difference between the Cingular flavor and the others is that it packs EDGE instead of the faster EVDO. You know what that means, right? That means you shouldn’t expect too much out of the high-speed connectivity in the device. The Moto KRZR for Cingular is available today for just $200 after contract and rebates.

Gadgetell Review and Peep Show: Motorola KRZR vs. LG VX8600 (both for Verizon)
Funny how things work out sometimes. I have been trying to figure out if Motorola copied the LG Chocolate phone with the heat sensitive buttons on the KRZR, but LG has seemed to knock-off much of the 8600’s design from the RAZR. And then what happens...both handsets arrive at Gadgetell HQ’s the same day. Read on for a more in depth look (in pictures and words) at two of the hottest flip phones currently available, by competing manufacturers, at Verizon Wireless.
Product: Motorola KRZR K1m for Verizon
Price: $199.99 (with a 2 year contract and $50 mail in rebate)
Rating: 7.5/10
Pros: Stereo Bluetooth, sleek design, not the RAZR, EVDO and hence fast downloads, mini-USB charger and port, heat sensitive exterior music buttons.
Cons: Too small a screen for video, as expected cellphone speaker phone music quality, miniSD placement, attracts fingerprints, Verizon’s standard GUI interface.
Overall: The KRZR is a great alternative to the Moto RAZR. It offers on-par music functionality and high speeds in a sexy but expensive package (as compared to other models).
Product: LG VX8600 for Verizon
Price: $129.99 (with a 2 year contract and $50 mail in rebate)
Rating: 8/10
Pros: Stereo Bluetooth, GPS, EVDO and hence fast downloads, heat sensitive exterior music buttons.
Cons: As expected cellphone speaker phone music quality, attracts fingerprints, Verizon’s improved—yet boring GUI interface.
Overall: The LG VX8600 is a great handset option for those of you looking for music on your phone. It is slim, fast, and has a good speaker and picture quality (though on 1.3 megapixels). But be weary of a keypad that you love or hate.
Sprint to launch RAZR, KRZR, SLVR in time for holidays
Sprint has finally made all you Motorola-lover’s dreams come true. How’d they do this? They just announced plans to launch the Motorola RAZR V3m, SLVR L7c, and KRZR K1m on their network...that’s how! The RAZR and KRZR will be almost the same phones that are already on Verizon except for differences in GUI and of course Sprint’s live TV and Movie services.
The SLVR L7 is traditionally known to sport iTunes, but since Sprint’s got a competing music store, they’ve replaced it with their own interface and called it the L7c. It will also have EVDO, and the rest of the Sprint high-speed offerings. Included are a VGA camera, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot.
According to our friends at Gearlog, Sprint’s Michelle Leff says that prices will be “incredibly competitive.” And they’re going to have to be to compete with Verizon’s versions of these phones. Verizon is currently selling the KRZR for $199 with contract and RAZR for as low as $69. The phones are all expected in November in time for holiday shopping.

Motorola KRZR K1m gets previewed, due for Sprint by holiday season
Sprint’s got a RAZR coming soon, and it’s not one of those old V3 models that everyone and their grandma has. The newest member to the RAZR lineup, the KRZR K1m, is expected to hit both Sprint and Verizon around the same time - supposing Verizon’s not going to slap down another one of those annoying exclusivity agreements. PhoneScoop got in one hell of a preview with the device covering everything from basic features to deep down in the menus… and they’ve got screenshots to prove it. They talk about how Motorola has fully customized the software to meet Sprint’s requirements - welcome screen and all. The device sports EVDO and will likely be released in time for the holiday season. Click on to PhoneScoop for the round-up.
