Gadgetell review: Tooth Tunes. God, I wish I were kidding
Product: Tooth Tunes toothbrush
Price and Availability: $9.99
Rating: 9/10
Pros: Sound was bizarrely fun. Both my focus group (ages 5 and 10) and myself enjoyed our brushing time more.
Cons: A little freaky
Overall: you get the song stuck in your head.
Yes this is a real high in my blogging career, the review of the coveted Tooth Tunes. Even better, I am giving a big thumbs up rating. I loved the darn thing.
Evolution of TV and Man: More ironic than ever
Just when gadgets are going sleeker, sexier, and slimmer, mankind has gone in the other direction. That is, went bigger, larger, and rounder.
Isn’t technology supposed to make our lives better and not our waistlines bigger? But it looks like this comic from Clubic.com perfectly describes it all. For me, this isn’t just about the man and the television but rather the whole technology and gadget innovations we’ve seen throughout the decades. That, as technology progresses, so should man, but it looks like the reverse is happening.

MPillow: The ultimate geeks pillow
The MPillow is the gift for that geek in your life who just can’t get to sleep. You can connect to your computer wirelessly to download your own music or access music provided by the MPillow servers. At the same time you can select which lighting option you prefer from the technogel translucent plastic gel that allows the lighting to change “colors and intensity as the music or sounds change creating the perfect ambiance for the user.”
So with your own disco and flashing music going on under neath your head you are bound to get to sleep easily!
Maybe somebody should explain that this was invented years ago. When I was at college an evening on the beer, crashed on the bed with the lights and music on and the room spinning was pretty much the same thing.

Homi USB gadget keeps you safe
The Homi USB is designed to sit on top of your monitor and alert you if you come too close to the screen, meaning your eyes and back will thank you.
It works via an ultrasonic sensor and is placed on the top of computer monitor. If you come within a 60cm range of it, it will chime and red LEDs flash will flash telling you to move further away from the screen.
It might not be the best looking device to put on top of your display, but if it keeps your ergonomics in check for $27 then it is certainly worth it.

TFS Review: Timex IRONMAN Bodylink GPS System
Paul Petersen over at our sister site, The Final Sprint, had a chance to review the Times IRONMAN Bodylink GPS system for runners and athletes. Check out the topline of the review here and then head over to The Final Sprint to read the rest.
Product: Timex IRONMAN Bodylink System
Price: $275.00
Rating: Very Good 8.3/10.0
Pros: Accurate; stable GPS; good battery life; intuitive and easy to use; great watch features; good value
Cons: Data-logger & PC upload functionality not included; GPS external from watch; HR monitor unstable at times
Overall: This device is effective because it is easy and it works. GPS initialization is fast and reliable; GPS connection and accuracy is very stable. It’s best for runners who want to hit the road quickly and view results immediately. Analysis and mapping junkies may want to defer to a GPS unit that automatically comes with computer linkage - but otherwise, when it comes to reliability, value and simplicity, the Timex Bodylink is hard to beat.
Out of the box, the Bodylink comes with a beefy manual, the performance watch, the heart rate sensor, the speed + distance sensor (GPS), and an adjustable strap for the mounting the GPS on your arm. Despite neglecting to read any of the ample instruction manual, I had the watch and GPS figured out within minutes and was out the door. Before I even hit the road, the primary strength of the Bodylink System was evident: it’s ease of use.

TFS Review: MotionLingo’s Adeo GPS Fitness Trainer
Written by Paul Petersen for The Final Sprint.
MotionLingo’s Adeo has garnered much attention this year as an innovative GPS-based fitness trainer that not only tracks your speed and distance, but also accommodates full integration with any mp3 player.
I have run with many other GPS products, but the Adeo is the first to provide workout feedback via audio messages rather than a visual watch interface. This sounded like a great idea to me right off the bat and I enjoyed putting putting the Adeo to the test.
Product: MotionLingo Adeo Fitness Trainer
Price: $149.95
Rating: Good 7.1/10.0
Pros: Hands-free GPS updates; Works with all mp3 players; Lightweight; Considerably more affordable than other GPS units, Easy to configure workouts and view data; Rapidly-evolving online training log; Affordable cost compared to other fitness GPS units; Multisport support; Excellent, frequently updated software package
Cons: Often takes several minutes to connect with satellites; Unstable, GPS connection could be improved; Small, unresponsive buttons
Overall: The Adeo is a very innovative and exciting concept; one that true audiophiles will want to immediately add to their running rig. However, others may want to wait for the next generation of Adeos (to be released later this spring) because like most first generation products, there are a few issues (i.e. - GPS performance) that could use an upgrade.
