MSI launches aerodynamically designed VR340 notebook
MSI Taiwan has announced the VR340 13-inch notebook boasting of aerodynamic and elementary exterior design that also conceals opening on its edges. Weighing only a mere 4.85-pounds, the VR340 adds to the slew of made-for-always-on-the-go notebook users.
MSI seemed to have put more emphasis on giving users a notebook model that is a pleasant to use even on prolong hours. The VR340’s strength lies on its ergonomic design and not so much on its technical capabilities. But that’s not saying that MSI is a mediocre machine, because the VR340 has its share of technical features which is at par with industry standards.
Humanscale provides Freedom to your 12 hour PC experience
You have seen it everywhere. 24, Mission Impossible, CSI Miami, and Boston Legal: the Humanscale Freedom desk chair is one of the most famous chairs in Hollywood, possibly the most famous piece of all furniture altogether. Yes that’s right I’m talking about a computer chair, the thing you are probably sitting on right now as you read, but the Freedom is different.
Unlike most products that claim to be ergonomic, this chair is. It is designed with the body in mind to take some stress out of hard-core computing. The chair, if I dare call it that, has 4 main components and one standard feature (as well as a few other bells and whistles).
Everyone’s body is different and there can not be one chair that is good for them all unless it is adjustable. When sitting down on the Freedom for the first time the first check is the height of the chair – you want your feet either flat on the ground or flat on a foot rest and your knees and 90o angles. After that it is time move the seat so you get optimal support under your butt. It easily slides forward and back with the appropriate setting being when you can fit 3-4 fingers between the back of your knee and seat cushion, touching your thigh. The most crucial part is the backrest/lumbar support. All I have to say is that you will know when you are in the right spot, and the same goes for the height of the headset.
Now if you just sit down for one minute you may not be blown away. The extreme comfort really hits when you are finishing up hour 11 in front of your PC. The cushions will still support you, the headrest works perfectly when your lounge back for phone calls, and the arm rests have over 40 adjustments for sitting, talking on the phone, and writing memos (if people still do that) and of course they move all the way down when you are typing.
The chair also comes with a life-time warranty and all of the foam cushions are replaceable, saving you time and money when your color tastes change or you wear them out (which is very hard to do). The only catch is the price, coming in at over $1,000 for a desk chair, but as they say, “You pay for what you get.”
