eMachines is looking to get their desktops popular again by announcing a few new desktops, just in time for the new school year. eMachines has announced a trio of new desktops with widescreen LCD displays under the model numbers—T3656, T5274 and W3653.

Each of these PC’s come with similar specs including a 15-in-1 media card reader, six USB ports, Microsoft Works 9.0, Windows Vista with SP1, a SuperMulti DVD drive and 6 channel HD audio with amplified stereo speakers.

eMachines has just rolled out two new desktop PC models, the T3646 and T5254. Both models are intended to offer power and yet still be “affordable.”

The T3646 will feature a 2.2GHz AMD Sempron LE-1250 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive and run Windows Vista Home Basic. The T5254 will feature a 2.1GHz AMD Athlon BE-2350 (Dual-Core) processor, 2GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive and run Windows Vista Home Premium. Both models will offer an NVIDIA GeForce 6100 chipset, NVIDIA GeForce 6100 integrated graphics, a 16x SuperMulti drive, 6-channel sound and a 15-in-1 card reader. They will also ship with your basic multifunction keyboard and PS/2 two-button wheel mouse, and neither include a display.

The T3646 will retail for $299, while the T5254 will retail for $399, both models are currently available.

eMachines has offered up two new desktop computers that should fit within the budgets of most. The T3642 retails for $349.99 and the T5246 will retail for $429.99, both models are running Windows Vista Home Premium and neither ship with a display.

The T3642 features a 2.6GHz AMD Athlon 64 4000+ processor, 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive. The T5246 features a 2.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (Dual Core) processor, 2GB RAM and a 400GB hard drive. Both models also include a 16x SuperMulti drive, 15-in-1 card reader, six USB ports, have 6-channel (5.1) high-definition audio and ship with a keyboard and mouse.
