Denon hits the DJ market with a internal hard drive all-in-one model

by Adam Berger on Aug 25, 2006 at 05:37 PM

Denon DN-hd2500
Denon has followed in the ways of Numark, Cortex, and other DJ companies as well as the average consumer’s wants and lifestyle by offering a USB driven DJ device. The DN-HD2500 is a dual (cd) HD based control unit with a USB connection and a built-in 2.5” HD.

Unlike Pioneer who has released newer versions of the CDJ-1000MKIII and CDJ-800MKII, only adding MP3 support to cds, Denon is offering the ability to skip the cd burning process and playing straight from a hard drive, iPod, external hard drive, external PC, and more. It comes with a built-in 2.5” HD so you’ll always have music with you.

The HD2500 has all the functionality you would expect from a dual cd player, and even allows you to connect the cd decks as well as play from the external sources. There are effects, loops, hot starts and a scratch mode. The center of the deck will have a screen allowing you to get more details about the songs you are playing as well as access the HD folders.

It’s be on display at the DJ Expo in Atlanta but not working. There is not yet any information on hard drive size, price, or availability.
