by Adam Berger on Dec 8, 2006 at 02:58 PM

Griffin iClear ipod nano 2nd generation 2g caseSo have you upgraded yet to the second generation nano? Yeah that’s what we thought, as did Griffin. Creator of all things accessories iPod, finally got around to announcing two new nano products for the thinner, metallic nano.

Both the iClear and Disko for nano 2G will be available in stores in time for the holidays, priced at $19.99 and $29.99, respectively.

If you don’t remember for the elderly nano or larger pods, the iClear crystal-clear polycarbonate protects your precious white colored iPod without sacrificing on the player’s aesthetics. The iClear protects the iPod screen from scratches and dings, yet gives the user full access to click wheel, ports and controls.

The Disko senses movement and responds with colored lights that blink and flash in moving patterns around the click wheel. Disko’s lights are powered by its own tiny, long-lasting batteries (included), with no impact on the battery of the iPod. Disko for iPod nano is available in black and clear, and fits both the 1st and 2nd generation nano.

Turn your iPod into a club with the disko

by Adam Berger on Oct 4, 2006 at 01:14 PM

Griffin Disko case lightsOk, so maybe the case does not even remind you of a club but if the lights were 20x brighter, overhead, and flashing all around you would get the feeling.

All in all, the Griffin disko offers a little extra pizzaz for your tunes. The case senses your movements and responds with lights along the outline of the click wheel. Disko’s colored LEDs are powered by two, tiny, long-lived wafer batteries (included), so no impact on your iPod’s battery. Disko works with 30, 60 and 80GB video iPods and sells for $29.99.

So go on dance a little even if you need to make your own little club.
