Good deal on The SIlencer PSU for back to school
Newegg is offering a rather sweet deal right now on The Silencer 610 EPS12V Power Supply. Listing at an original price of $199.00 on their site (although Dell offers it for $109.00 and Amazon for $129.00), they are offering an instant $90 rebate, and also a $30 mail-in rebate to bring your final cost down to $79.00; beating any price I could find for this item on the net. (and yes, they still have the free three day shipping).
Nokia N810 gets price cut, now just $299
While the price drop does not seem to be available at every online retailer, at least one, namely CompUSA has dropped the price of the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet down to just $299.99. Currently listed as in stock and available the discounted price comes after an instant savings of $100.
No word on how long this price will last for, so if you were considering an N810 purchase, this may be a good time to part with the cash. A quick check of a few other online retailers still reflect the standard pricing. NewEgg has it listed for the expected $399.99, while Best Buy is still trying to get $479.99.
Now you can purchase the N810 for little less and be able to play around with Android a bit, sounds like a win-win.

Free T-Mobile deals at Wal-Mart, some even offering cash back
Anyone looking to become a new T-Mobile customer may just be in luck. Wal-Mart of all places currently has a sweet deal in place on a variety of models. Some of the items include the Wing, which comes with a free Kingston 1GB memory card and USB card reader and will (after rebate) give you $50.
The titanium BlackBerry Curve, Pearl and Dash are all in the same category, giving you $50 cash back, however these last three do not offer the free memory card and USB card reader. Still a nice deal though.
The Samsung Blast, Katalyst and the SGH-T639 will all get you $75 back after rebates. They also have some good deals on the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone, MOTORIZR as well as some MOTORAZR models.
Of course most of these deals require a mail-in-rebate so be sure to fill out all your paperwork. Click the product link below to check out the full list of deals.

Microsoft-Yahoo: Act II
It’s the summer movie season and sequels are always big at the box office, so why not try another shot at some kind of Microsoft-Yahoo blockbuster?
In a move seemingly designed to keep technology reporters and bloggers chained to their laptops over the weekend, Microsoft announced Sunday that it was “considering and has raised with Yahoo! an alternative that would involve a transaction with Yahoo! but not an acquisition of all of Yahoo!” That was confirmed in a separate press release from Yahoo! which said the company “continues to consider a number of value maximizing strategic alternatives...we remain open to pursuing any transaction which is in the best interest of our stockholders.”
Translation: thanks for the push, Carl Icahn. We’ll take it from here.
Several tech reporters with access to sources within the negotiations say this time, Microsoft wants to either buy outright or partner with Yahoo’s search division and related advertising services. Jerry Yang’s company can keep mail, messaging, news; many Yahoo! fans have said on various blogs that the company had lost its focus on those business segments while trying to take on Google in online ads.
Woot-Off is underway
If you’re into the whole getting things you’ve wanted for cheap thing, then you should probably head over to Woot right now for the Woot-Off. Woot specializes in selling one product everyday, and usually giving a damn good price on that product. And a Woot-Off is where they keep an item up until it’s all sold out. Once it’s sold out, they move on to the next item. Sometimes products are sold out in 10 minutes, and sometimes they take hours. Am I making sense? I’m trying to tell you to stop reading and get over to Woot to see what item is up right now! Enjoy!

Free 512MB Pro Duo Memory Stick courtesy SanDisk
SanDisk has an interesting promotion out right now, and by interesting I mean amazing! They’re giving away 512MB Pro Duo Memory Sticks for free at Best Buy and Circuit City. The coupon is actually for $25 off, but since they’re only $19.99 on sale at Best Buy, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. If you need a reason to go get yourself one, I’ll give you two...PSP and PS3. Both devices (will) support Pro Duo so why not start stocking up now? All you have to do is head over to SanDisk’s website, print out the coupon, and bring it in to your local store and if they’re not out of stock, you’ve got yourself a free gift.
