The release had been confirmed for May 9, however Verizon must have been feeling a little generous since they have added the BlackBerry Curve 8330 a few days ahead of schedule.

The Curve is retailing for $219.99, which comes after a $100 online discount, along with a two-year agreement. The Curve was also scheduled to arrive on retail locations as of May 12, no confirmation yet on if Verizon released it in stores early also. Sprint pushes back the BlackBerry Curve Launch till mid-May

by Robert Nelson on May 3, 2008 at 04:38 PM

While Sprint has already officially announced the BlackBerry Curve back in early-April, which according to the press release had an anticipated release of “later this month.” Well later this month has already passed and now the official word from Sprint is that it will be available sometime in mid-May. Lets hope the date, or at least rough time frame that was given this time holds true. The official reason for delay was that Sprint needed to “conduct additional testing to ensure a high-quality user experience for all functionality of the [phone], including exclusive Sprint services like Sprint TV and Sprint Music Store.” Guess it still had some bugs.

Verizon announces the BlackBerry 8330 Curve

by Arnold Zafra on Mar 31, 2008 at 09:36 AM

Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Curve 8330

Verizon Wireless has finally announced the availability of RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 8330. Sporting a new liquid-silver colored finish with chrome highlights, the BlackBerry 8330’s capabilities will be enhanced by Verizon Wireless’ high-speed EV-DO network. The 8330 will also have Verizon’s location-based services that will give customers mapping, audible turn-by-turn navigation and access to information on more than 14 million points of interest.

All the goodness and eye candy that previous BlackBerry Curve owners enjoyed in other Curve models will be in the 8330. Measuring 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.6-inches and weighing only 4 ounces, the BlackBerry 8330 will be easy to handle and use. Boasting of a noise cancellation technology that offsets background noise, and speaker independent voice recognition for voice activated dialing, the Curve also sports a large 320 x 240 display, with light sensing technology that automatically adjusts brightness depending on whether the user is outdoors, indoors or in a dark lit environment.

Skullcandy iPhone FMJ headphones

Product: Skullcandy iPhone FMJ headphones
Price and Availability: $79.95, Currently available for sale, although they are noted as being out-of stock until March 1-15, 2008.
Rating: 10/10
Pros: A comfortable fit, great sounding and a solid, durable feel.
Cons: Not sure I can really call it a con, but at first the cable seemed a bit stiff. It did become a little more flexible with a few days of use.
Overall: A great choice for iPhone and/or BlackBerry Curve users alike.

First pics of the CDMA BlackBerry Curve surface

by Robert Nelson on Feb 11, 2008 at 05:26 PM

CDMA BlackBerry Curve 8330 (front)

The BlackBerry 8330 Curve will soon have a CDMA version on the market. The overall design is similar to the current GSM model with a keyboard a little closer to the current 8310 from AT&T. The new CDMA BlackBerry 8330 will feature GPS! No word on which carrier this will hit first, but it is not expected to be available this month, meaning we can relax till at least March. Sadly no mention was made of pricing.

AT&T offering $99 Valentine Day specials

by Robert Nelson on Jan 19, 2008 at 06:02 PM

AT&T Valentine's Day $99 Promotion

AT&T currently has a special $99 promotion on the red LG Shine, BlackJack II and the BlackBerry Curve 8310. The promotion is valid through Valentines Day, which for those that may need a reminder is February 14 and they all require a 2-year agreement with purchase.

“Chocolates and flowers are standby gifts for Valentine’s Day, but this year we’re spicing things up by offering terrific deals for those who want to go with something different,” said Andy Wilson, vice president of National Marketing for AT&T’s wireless unit.

A nice offer for those looking to make a switch to AT&T, all three phones (personally I would prefer the Curve) would make a great primary phone, especially for only $99.
