Nikon offers up the 14.5-megapixel Coolpix S710

Next up in the new Coolpix models which Nikon has recently introduced is the S710 digital camera featuring an effective 14.5-megapixel CCD sensor with 3.6x optical zoom which can cover a wide-angle 28mm. This ultra-compact Nikon camera also boasts of four exposure modes (P/S/A/M) which give you full control of the camera’s settings. But if manual operation is not your thing, you could also use the S710’s scene auto selector feature.
Additionally, the S710 also has four anti-blur features which give you sharp images even when taking photos of moving subjects and these are the lens-shift Vibration Reduction, ISO sensitivity range of up to 12800, Best Shot Selector and Motion Detection. Other nifty features of the S710 include Face-priority AF, a 3-inch wide-viewing angle TFT monitor with anti-reflection coating, approximately 48MB internal memory, high-speed USB interface, and the camera takes around 290 shots per battery charge using the Nikon supplied rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL12.

Nikon intro’s the P6000; it’s first digital camera with built-in GPS

Nikon has announced the new COOLPIX P6000, a professional looking digital camera featuring an effective 13.5-megapixel camera resolution, 4x zoom Nikkor lens and 2 ED glass elements. Equipped with Nikon’s image-processing system EXPEED, the P6000 brags of being Nikon’s first digital camera with built-in GPS.
If the idea of a digital camera with GPS feature excites you then read on to find out more features of the P6000. This point-and-shoot features an integrated Ethernet connector for image sharing through Nikon’s “My Picturetown” service, a 2.7-inch TFT screen, RAW format and picture control capabilities which are similar to DSLR camera features. Aside from these, the P6000 prides of three ways by which it reduces image blur and these are through Lens-shift Vibration Reduction, noise-reduction technology and Best Shot Selector.
Nikon unveils the Coolpix S610, Wi-Fi enabled S610c digital cameras

Nikon has added two new mid-range digital cameras to its COOLPIX line-up, the S610 and S610c which both boast of an effective 10-megapixel CCD camera sensor. Both models offer almost the same details and specs except for the Wi-Fi feature that only the S610c has. The S610c complies with WPS or Wi-Fi Protected Setup which secures internet connectivity to Wi-Fi routers.
Both cameras offer easy operations and a first time feature called Scene Auto Selector which automatically selects portrait, landscape, night setting or close up mode depending on the environment. Aside from this, the S610 and S610c also features Active Child Mode and Smile Mode settings. Design wise, both cameras sport elegant aluminum bodies with sharply-cut contours that makes them attractive to look at as well as easy to handle.
Nikon’s Wi-Fi Coolpix digicam begins shipping in the US

Nikon has begun to ship its latest Coolpix model, the S52c which we covered not so long ago in the US. In an effort to allow users to maximize the Wi-Fi features of the camera, Nikon will be throwing in six months of complimentary T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi service which would allow them to send images and videos when connected from any of T-Mobile’s HotSpot located within the United States.
The Coolpix S52c Wi-Fi camera is now available in the US market for a suggested retail of $279.95. And for that price, you’ll get a cool looking slim camera with features such as 9-megapixel resolution, 3x Zoom-Nikor glass lens, 3-inch LCD screen, optical vibration reduction image stabilization and ISO of up to 3200.

Nikon announces Coolpix P80, compact camera with 18x optical zoom

Nikon has announced its new Coolpix P80 point-and-shoot camera designed for camera enthusiasts and family photographers. The Coolpix P80 boasts of a whooping 10.1-megapixel CCD image sensor and Nikon’s EXPEED digital image processing concept.
Bill Giordano, General Manager Marketing of Nikon Coolpix must have been proud of the new camera when he said:
“Nikon is proud to continue delivering the highest quality imaging products for photo enthusiasts and aspiring photographers with a broad range of creative control options and superior imaging ability.“
Do you think these goodies speak for Mr. Giordano’s claim? – 18x optical zoom, Nikon lens with focal lengths from 27-486mm (equivalent to 35mm), optical vibration reduction, various exposure mode highlighted by Sport continuos mode that allows users to shoot as many as 30 consecutive photos at 4, 6, or 13 fps, a 2.7-inch LCD monitor with anti-reflection coating, electronic view finder and many more features.
To make the Coolpix P80 even easier to use, Nikon has thrown in its user-friendly imaging innovations called “Nikon In-Camera Innovation”. This technology includes In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, D-Lighting and Face-Priority. The Nikon Coolpix will be available this month and retail for $399.95.

The Nikon Coolpix L18 is a brand new member of the L-series. The L-series is famed for its full-featured, easy-to-use and affordable line of digital cameras.
The L18 features an 8.0-megapixel CCD sensor, 3.0-inch LCD screen, 3x zoom Nikkor lens, and has an ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 1600.
