Axiom Audio AudioByte computer speakers: The winner is…
Well the time has come, as much as I hated to have to give these away, they are one review item that I would have loved to keep, but the readers are more important and I am proud to announce the winner.
Drumroll please...and the winner of those Axiom AudioByte computer speakers are none other than lucky reader...Nicholas Wright
Now we just need ”Nicholas Wright from Norman, OK” to send me an email at robert (at) gadgetell (dot) com to claim the prize. Please use Axiom winner as the subject line and include a street address where we can ship those to you. Keep in mind, due to the fact they come in two large boxes and they are not all that inexpensive I plan to ship with a signature required. That may be a pain for some, but I just to make sure they arrive safely, and without being left (possibly in the rain) on a door step.
So...what are you waiting for, send that email and I will get them out shortly, I am sad to see them go, but am happy to reclaim the space in my office. And finally, I can only hope you enjoy them even half as much as I did.

Radiohead’s In Rainbows music video contest begins
Music bands are definitely recognizing the power of the Internet and other web hangouts as a promotional tool for their music. Nine Inch Nails, who were over whelmed by the success of the launch of their web friendly album Ghosts is conducting a film festival using YouTube with the hopes of strengthening its fan base on the web.
Similarly, another band Radiohead, fresh from the success of the release of their album In Rainbows, who used a pay-what-you-like-download is undertaking another step towards unfamiliar routes for radio-friendly bands. This time, Radiohead wants to mobilize its fan base for the production of their next music video. Radiohead in cooperation with Aniboom is sponsoring a contest in search of the best storyboard to use for their next music video. Winner takes home $10,000 plus the opportunity to work with Radiohead in producing the music video.
Gadgetell Giveaway: a 4 GB iPod and Chocolates for Mom
Ahh the month of May. The rain begins to let up, the flowers start to bloom, the weather warms up, you are either getting closer to the end of school or dreading being in the office for the summer, weekend trips, and Memorial Day, what could get better? Nothing will ever be good for you if you forget to get your mother a well deserved Mother’s Day present (now only 5 days away). If you are like us, you tend to buy a present at the last minute, and often have to order it so it ends up coming in late—though you save the day with flowers as a placeholder—so why break the streak this year. Heck, Gadgetell and Best Buy will even help you out.
So what are we suggesting/giving away? Surprise and delight mom with either a pink or silver 4GB Apple iPod nano (we have one of each) and a variety of gourmet chocolates – all wrapped up in one package that is both easy to give and a joy to receive (a $214.99 value). We will do our best to get this to you by Saturday but there is always the possibility that it does not arrive until Monday—so make sure to pick-up flowers for Sunday.
Whether mom is an avid runner, a dancing queen, or an aspiring diva, she will love taking her music with her everywhere she goes on her iPod nano, easily stored in her palm, pocket or purse. From her old disco favorites to her secret classic rock obsessions, having her own personal soundtrack to accompany her will make even the most mundane tasks more fun. What’s more, this special gift set pairs mom’s love of music with her love of chocolate and wraps them in a charming, polka-dotted box inspired by the prism of iPod nano colors and the retro design that is all the rage this spring.
To enter: This giveaway is now closed, winners will be notified and announced shortly.
- You can only win once during the extent of this giveaway.

We’ve got 10 more Joost inivitations, want one?
If you have yet to be invited to Joost, you’ll be happy to hear we’ve got 10 more invitations to give out. Last time around, things got a little crazy around here. If you’re not familiar with Joost, it is a new service from the guys that created Kazaa and Skype that allows you to legally watch network television shows on your computer. It’s really the first attempt a company has made to make an Internet-only cable provider.
All you have to do is leave a comment below, and we’ll choose 10 lucky commenters at random for the Joost invites.
You have until next Wednesday, 3/21/07, to get your comment in (this was moved from 3/23 to 3/21 because Joost just informed us that the links are going to expire). Oh, and make sure you enter a valid email address so we can send the invite—don’t worry we won’t share it with anyone else.
Update: This contest has been closed. Thanks for your entries, and stay tuned for more great contests from Gadgetell.
