Forecast: Storm will be arriving on the 24th with a pre-launch on the 20th

So we’ve all been hearing hints and rumors and whispers in the window about the much talked about BlackBerry Storm. Well, it looks as if there may finally be some confirmation about when the Storm is actually going to hit the Verizon stores.
According to a very trusted source, there is a document floating around from Verizon giving some specifics on launch dates. It says that the Storm is due to show up for a pre-launch at 123 corporate Verizon stores on November 20th.

Like Bigfoot, Windows Mobile 6.5 exists. Has same problems.
Gizmodo has Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer yelling “6.5! 6.5!.“ We had Moto’s chief spill the beans not too long ago. And here I am talking about it again. What could a “point” upgrade be worth? Certainly not all this, right?
Well, my time with the Samsung Epix on AT&T service has gone pretty well and I’ve hopes 6.5 will bring WinMo out of the dark ages. While the OS has nowhere near the spit shine Apple products do, tons more usability was baked into this release. Things like threading text messages, one touch for speaker phone, using the touchscreen for simple things like unlocking the phone. Now, I am not saying all these things are comperable to other phones, merely just it is possible. All of it was extremely welcome on phones that us corporate drones must use.
Ballmer confirmed a 2009 delivery time for Windows Mobile 6.5 saying, “With releases we’ll make this year - releases we’ll make with 6.5 next year, Windows Mobile 7, I think we have a pretty interesting roadmap.“ Sure you do, Steve, sure you do.
Yes, Windows Mobile is still ugly, is just as slow and falls down a lot; just like Bigfoot (but maybe I don’t understand him the way you do). I look to 6.5 to begin the beautification process. Surely Redmond can take a page from HTC right?

3G iPhone launch ‘confirmed’ for June 9?

Although the date has been speculated for a while, Gizmodo is claiming that they have confirmed the launch of the 3G iPhone during the WWDC Keynote on June 9. This latest development comes from “sources close to the 3G iPhone launch” and puts the 3G enabled iPhone with worldwide availability without any delay, meaning that you will be able to plunk down your hard earned money without any further waiting.
So now, as this has not been confirmed by Apple we have to remember that it just may well still change, or its always possible that it is entirely untrue to begin with. The real question here is not when it will be released, but whether or not current iPhone users will feel the need to run out and upgrade. It sounds nice to me, but I am not sure if the 3G support alone would be enough to win me over.
