Callpod intro’s the Drone, the do-it-all Bluetooth adapter
Here’s another one of ‘em uber cool devices that you would want to have even if it hasn’t been released yet. Callpod’s new Bluetooth adapter which goes by the branding – the Drone. Based from its published details and specifications, you can easily ascertain that the Drone is one device that’s going to simplify the why you connect your gadgets and devices.
The Drone is a nifty little piece of hardware that lets you stream audio files from your PC to your Bluetooth enabled devices at a maximum range of 100 meters. Sounds fun? Wait, it gets even better because the Drone also streams incoming VoIP calls from your PC and allows you to attend to the call using your Bluetooth headsets even when you are doing something else. And did I mention that you wander up to 100 meters (about 328 feet) and stay within range of the Drone.
Callpod intro’s the Phoenix, a Bluetooth conferencing device
Callpod has announced the Phoenix, a device that will allow up to 5 Bluetooth headsets along with a cell phone or Skype to engage in a conference call. The Phoenix will, according to Callpod work over a 300,000+ square foot range when used with their Dragon headset.
The Phoenix offers push-to-talk when using Dragon Headsets, full-duplex conference calling with no voice cancellation and is also compatible with other Bluetooth headsets, phones and computers. The Phoenix has up to 10 hours of battery life and has a simple two button operation, one button will pair the device and one button will turn it off and on.
No pricing has been announced for the Phoenix, currently it is un-available however you can pre-register and receive a “priority shipment” when it becomes available.
