Bose Lifestyle V30 Home Theater System: Sweet, neat, elegant

by Marjorie Dorfman on Dec 31, 2007 at 09:19 AM

Bose Lifestyle V30 Home Theater

Award-winning sound combined with technology at its most advanced level is yours to behold with the Bose Lifestyle V30 home theater system. Audio and video benefits can also be heard and not seen (contrary to that old axiom about children) as you simply connect the high-definition components, gaming console and other A/V equipment to the media console and then hide it all away as a standalone display permits you to receive and control system information.

The Bose V30 is HD compatible and works with your existing DVD player. The Tiny Jewel Cube speakers (just 4-1/2”high), as part of the distinctive ADAPTIQ system, reproduce surround sound that is specifically customized to the room. The system is the best, boasting a video resolution of up to 1080p over High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). The V30 also features a horizontal center-channel speaker and an Acoustimass bass module. At the press of a single button on the universal remote, the correct audio and video is automatically synchronized.

The Bose Lifestyle V30 system is uniquely designed for performance, elegance and flexibility and will deliver a compelling, high quality performance every time. The exclusive technology is so intense that a user feels seated in the theater or concert hall, experiencing the rich and full sound of a unique audio and visual occasion.

Logitech’s high-end Noise Canceling Headphones coming soon

by XXJacob Boxford on Aug 18, 2006 at 09:13 PM

Logitech Noise Canceling HeadphonesLogitech has just announced their latest “Noise Canceling Headphones” (creative title) which will be hitting shelves soon.  The products competitors are the Bose Quiet Comfort 3 and Solitude headphones, and by the looks of these babies, they just might have a shot at competing.  The product uses their SilentSound technology which helps to cut out background noise while you’ve got them on.  Similar to the iCans which we reviewed back in June, the “Noise Cancelling Headphones” fold up into a nifty carrying case for portable convenience and storage.  They require 1 AAA battery and come with a dual-plug airplane adaptor so you can use them for those in-flight movies.  The Logitech Noise Canceling Headphones will run you $149.99 and will be available soon.

Bose QuietComfort 3 noise cancelling headphones

by Adam Berger on Jun 9, 2006 at 02:12 PM

Bose QuietComfort 3 noise cancelling headphones

Bose has introduced the new QuietComfort 3 acoustic noise cancelling headphones, the successor to the extremely popular, QuietComfort 2 headphones. the ear pads have been redesigned with a memory foam cell structure and an air-restrictive outer covering, to conform to the ears, providing a seal that blocks much of the unwanted noise without irritating pressure. New circuitry identifies unwanted noise and reduces it, and is able to react to dynamically changing noise sources.

To connect to an audio source, a single cable runs from the left earcup. For untethered noise reduction, the cable is fully detachable. The QC3 Cell Connect accessory kit lets users seamlessly switch between music and incoming calls, and enables hands-free communication via the in-line microphone ($39.98).

The QuietComfort 3 headphones debut an environmentally friendly, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, specifically designed to fit within the earcups while providing approximately 20 hours of continuous use—lasting longer than a flight from Chicago to Hong-Kong, or fully-charged MP3 players.

The earcups rotate to a flat resting position to fit into a slimmer, more portable carrying case. Measuring just 6 3/4” x 8 3/8” x 2”, the QuietComfort 3 headphones can be easily packed and carried. QuietComfort 3 headphones will be available direct from Bose beginning mid-June and will sell for $349. They are available in a silver finish and come with a dual plug adapter (for some airline in-flight entertainment systems), a 1/4” home stereo adapter, a five-foot extension cord, carrying case, and a lithium-ion rechargeable battery and charger.
