BlackBerry Bold available from Wal-Mart for free

AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold was literally just made available for $299, and now Wal-Mart is going to offer the BlackBerry Bold for free with a rebate. It’s a nice deal by Wal-Mart to deliver the BlackBerry Bold essentially for free.
This new deal may make some people get the new Bold with a 2 year contract, of course. Let us know if you plan on getting one.

Best Buy adds the unlocked BlackBerry Bold, selling for an expensive $680

Best Buy seems to be continuing to add worthy smartphones to their lineup. We have recently seen the availability of the Touch Diamond and the iPhone 3G, and now they have added the BlackBerry Bold.
The BlackBerry Bold comes as an unlocked handset, which is nice because it means no two-year agreement. Of course, that means a much higher price tag. Instead of the $299 that you can pay with AT&T, the unlocked model from Best Buy will set you back $679.99.
Currently, the Bold is listed as being on backorder, and states that it “usually leaves our warehouse within 1-2 weeks.“ Personally, I would opt for the two-year agreement and save some money, but it is always nice to have the unlocked version available as an option.

AT&T officially announces BlackBerry Bold availability date, coming November 4

After what seemed like it would be an endless delay, AT&T and RIM have officially announced the upcoming availability of the BlackBerry Bold. It almost seems strange to be able to post this, but those looking to score a Bold will not have much longer to wait, the Bold will be available beginning November 4, 2008.
As for pricing, the Bold will be “as low as” $299.99, which means that in order to see that price you should be willing to sign that two-year agreement as well.
Finally, just to refresh our memory, the Bold will feature a half-VGA 480 x 320 display as well as 3G, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, a 2-megapixel camera with flash, zoom and video recording and 1GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB of additional storage. Nothing left to do now, except maybe mark your calendar and hope that any last minute delays stay away.

AT&T to launch BlackBerry Bold on October 27

BGR seems confident that the highly anticipated and delayed BlackBerry Bold will be available exclusively from AT&T on October 27. They say that they have this rumor confirmed by many high ranking people from both AT&T and RIM.
Yesterday, we reported AT&T’s leaked holiday sales, and the BlackBerry Bold was listed on that as well. I was thinking to myself that the BlackBerry Bold would probably be released sometime in December, because of all the delays. However, it looks like we can mark the date on our calendars and expect the Bold to be released. No wording on price as of yet. Stay tuned for continuing coverage on the BlackBerry Bold.

AT&T leaks 2008 holiday sales

The holidays are an important time of the year for many giant companies. With so many people buying gifts for one another, sales revenue generally increase in all industries. Thus, it is very important that companies announce what they have planned for the holidays in advance so people can plan accordingly. BGR recently got some leaked information on what AT&T plans to sell in the coming months.
Some of their holiday phones include the HTC Fuze, which is $300 after Mail-in-Rebate, the Samsung Eternity, $150 after Mail-in-Rebate, the Samsung EPIX, for $200 after Mail-in-Rebate, the Pantech Matrix, for $80 after Mail-in-Rebate, AT&T Quickfire, for $100 after Mail-in-Rebate, the LG Incite, for $200 after Mail-in-Rebate, the Samsung Propel for $90 after Mail-in-Rebate, and the BlackBerry Bold for an unknown price.
AT&T announce BlackBerry Bold launch party dates

It seems AT&T is still inching their way to finally announcing the BlackBerry Bold availability. While we still have not seen an official release date, we have already seen plenty of information that looks like it will be available in late October. Further confirmation of that time frame goes along with those recently leaked Best Buy screenshots showing an availability of October 26.
These launch party dates seem to further confirm that time frame as AT&T has scheduled six events with dates ranging from October 15 through October 30. More after the break.
AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold release confirmed for October

Thanks to a tipster of our own, along with a leaked memo coming from AT&T, we can confirm that the BlackBerry Bold will be hitting AT&T this October. The leaked memo is looking official enough, although it seems its still in the unofficial draft stage as it states that the “Bold will be available for as low as $299.99 beginning on xxxxday, October xx.“ Reading into their little “x” format one could guess that the day of the week would be a Tuesday, but of course that’s just a little speculation on our part.
The drafted press release is dated September 8, but it seems that, along with the xx’d out dates above that will get a slight revising. Let’s just hope that $299 price tag will remain the same. Either way it seems an official announcement is imminent. So now that it looks like the Bold is finally going to shift into the available status, who’s going to snap one up? Keep reading to check out that leaked memo below…
Rumored October 2 AT&T BlackBerry Bold launch date holding steady

I almost hate to say this is an accurate date, but so far the rumored October 2 launching of AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold seems to be holding true. Of course with so many other carriers managing to get it to market it seems AT&T is just at the point of saving face here, and really cannot stand any more delays or criticism with this release.
Anyway, the latest addition to this rumor adds yet another date of September 24, however that is supposed to be when dealers can begin placing their orders. That way they are ready for consumers on October 2. This was further confirmed by a reported leaked email that cam from a “few AT&T dealers” via the “head office.“
“AT&T is pleased to announce the launch of the new Blackberry Bold. It will be available to order on September 24, 2008. “
Unfortunately its still a few weeks away, at this point we can only hope it stands true. The one good point is that maybe we can see the Bold a bit earlier than October 2, because the dealer ordering should not take but a day or two.

Vodafone UK becomes the latest to add the BlackBerry Bold

Yet another carrier that has added the BlackBerry Bold to its lineup. With their announcement comes immediate availability and also a pretty fair pricing structure. The Bold will be available for free when customers choose the Anytime 600 data plan for £35 (about $62 US), which also comes with a 24-month agreement. Certainly not a bad price for a handset like the Bold, the Anytime 600 plan includes 600 talk-time minutes and 500MB of data transfer. In addition to the regular consumer plans the BlackBerry Bold will also be available with the Vodafone Total Business price plans. Sadly the US is still waiting for AT&T to get their Bold on the market, which the latest rumored launch date is October 2, however with all the false dates in the past we are certainly not holding our breath.

Rumor: AT&T to launch the BlackBerry Bold October 2

The latest potential launch date for the AT&T BlackBerry Bold is now expected to come in just about a month, on October 2. I wish we were able to say this has been confirmed, but sadly it is just based on a tip that is being considered “pretty solid.“ Of course we have seen these situations go either way when it come to reliable sources, so keep your credit card safely in your wallet for now. In the meantime it looks like October 2 is the date for AT&T to announce the Bold, with full availability coming on Monday October 6. All in all, the release seems to make sense timing wise now that Rogers has finally gotten theirs ready and out.
