Rumor: Spring-colored iPod Shuffles?

by Michael Yurechko on Mar 16, 2007 at 08:11 PM

Purple ShuffleWell, it seems an Apple store employee may have given up the latest addition(s) to the iPod shuffle line. Josh Spear was at the Apple store and came across an employee wearing a grape colored iPod shuffle. If this proves to be true, it seems Apple will have almost completed the rainbow of shuffles. Perhaps Apple is planning a spring line of colored iPod shuffles? One thing is for sure though, I’m still waiting on a black shuffle.

This wasn’t just a cover, and I don’t think I was hallucinating; it was a delicious, grape-popsicle shade of shuffle, darker than the magenta color shown here, and if he had one (and wasn’t getting fired for wearing it on the floor), odds are we’ll all be able to get our hands on it soon enough.

And yes we know the image above is photoshopped.

David Rubin on the 24/7, 365 Apple Store

by Adam Berger on Jun 7, 2006 at 05:15 PM

Comic Meets GadgetsIt was great catching up with our resident comic Dave, now that I am back on the East Coast. We chatted over lunch and no other place than Whole Food’s and then meandered over to the 5th Ave Apple Store. This was my first time seeing it, and it was nice but nothing so special on the inside. Funny enough I was in a suite and Dave was in a shirt and jean, much like the commercials. We were going to act out the skit but opted not to. Here’s what Dave had to say after the visit:

Went to the new Apple Store on 5th Avenue today. It’s quite an impressive display of nerds and cool people all in on place as a functioning unit. As usual, I was right smack dab in between the nerds and the cool people in that little space where I flourish. That place, of course, was the bathroom. Which, by the way, was very nice.

Apple to move into Best Buy

by Adam Berger on Jun 2, 2006 at 12:05 AM

Apple Best Buy Display

Apple has been selling iPods and Apple branded accessories in Best Buy for a few years now, and most recently added the Mac mini. But in an un-Apple like move, the company will start setting-up shop in your local Best Buy.  The new MacBooks, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iMac systems will all be showcased together on prominent Apple displays within the computer section at Best Buy. Two stores already have these kiosks and more are expected to added inventory.

This should not only get Apple into areas where there are no Apple store, but consumers will finally be able to compare PCs directly to Macs. I guess Apple is really confident about this whole Intel-Mac thing.

New Apple Store opening

by Adam Berger on May 27, 2006 at 04:00 PM

freehold NJ apple storeNot like I haven’t been to an Apple Store before (I have actually been to quite a bunch) but it is nice when they open up around the corner. Finally, I will have this cool white luxury 15 minutes away. Apple has opened a new store in the Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, NJ for me to come in and snap some pics, play with the products etc. Once I get back I promise a hands on review on the MacBook that many of you have been asking for.

Until then cross your fingers that I got in line early enough so I have a t-shirt to giveaway.
