Following up on yesterday’s post, Asus has made the Eee Top all-in-one PC official.  As for the specs, there are no real surprises to be found, although Asus only mentioned the lower-end ET1602 and seemed to have left the ET1603 out.

Just as a recap, the ET1602 will feature a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, and a pair of built-in 4-watt speakers.  Another item to note on the ET1602 is the operating system, it will be running Windows XP and feature an “Easy Mode.“  The display will be a 15.6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and be in a 16:9 widescreen format.  The ET1602 will also ship with a keyboard and mouse, and the keyboard has a built-in stylus to take advantage of the touchscreen.  More on this touchscreen desktop after the break.

We have recently seen the official announcement of the MSI Wind Neton and now we are seeing reports that Asus will be launching their competing all-in-one desktop as early as tomorrow.  The Asus all-in-one desktop PC is the Eee Top, and it comes in two models, the ET1602 and the ET1603.  The announcement is expected to come during an Asus news conference on November 20.

As for the specs, the ET1602 features a 15.9-inch touchscreen, a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, and a pair of built-in speakers.  The ET1603 will offer similar features as the ET1602 but has a better (ATI HD3450) graphics card along with a battery.  Of course, the ET1603 weighs in at 9.7-pounds, and given that it seems the battery would serve more as a backup in case of a power loss, than provide for portability.

Still unknown is the pricing, although Asus CEO Jerry Shen did mention in the past that it would be a low priced device.  As for the actual availability, hopefully we will find that out, along with the official pricing tomorrow.

Kodak has two new All-in-One (AiO) printers, the EasyShare 7 (“ESP7”) and the EasyShare 9 (“ESP9”).  The ESP7 and ESP9 showcase Kodak’s promise of the lowest ink replacement cost in the industry.  MSRP on black ink is $9.99 and color ink is $14.99.  Those prices are pretty reasonable.  Other goals for these printers are lab-quality prints and easy to use.

It was only a couple of months ago when HP released the first two models of the TouchSmart all-in-one PC, the 22 inch IQ504 and IQ506. Upon introduction of their TouchSmart line, HP received some negative feedback.  In particular, some wanted a bigger screen and a more powerful PC.  HP has responded by releasing two bigger models, the IQ804 and IQ816 TouchSmart PCs.

With these two new models, HP has increased the LCD sizes of these PC’s from 22 inches to 25.5 inches with 1900x1200 resolution.  At this resolution, you can watch full HD content at 1080P.  The high-end IQ816 boasts an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M video card, an illuminating keyboard, VESA wall mount capability, hardware-encoded TV tuner, four digitally-amplified speakers and a Blu-ray drive.  The IQ804 has all the features of the IQ816 except for the Blu-ray drive.

Both the HP IQ804 and IQ816 belong to the new HP IQ800 series all-in-one TouchSmart PC series which is being touted to deliver a new level of home-theater entertainment. HP will start shipping the IQ804 on October with an SRP of $2100 and the IQ816 on September 21 with an SRP of $1900.

Lexmark recently announced six new printer models in the Home & Student department, as well as the Small Office Pro department. Each of these printers are very nice, of high quality, and provide many services.

The first printer comes in the Home & Student series, and is called the X4950 printer. It comes with built-in 802.11g Wi-Fi, a 2.4-inch OLED screen, which shows menus, previews, and available options, it also scans and copies documents at a 4800 x 1200 resolution, outputs at 30 pages per minute in black, or 27 per minute in color. This printer is set to be available sometime in September for $150.

Next up we have the X6650, which comes with a slightly smaller display screen, measuring out at 2-inches, however, it comes with the ability to fax. Similarly to the X4950, it also has Wi-Fi. However, it prints at a slower rate, 25 pages per minute in black and 18 per minute in color.

What’s this sudden renewed interest into the small office and home office printer market? After Canon announced its latest all-in-one-printer, here comes Kodak with a new all-in-one of its own. Dubbed the ESP 5, Kodak is promoting this printer as having the ability to print a 4x6 borderless photo in 30 seconds or if you are still into document printing, this printer can yield 30 pages per minute in black or 29 per minute in color. By industry standard, those printing speeds are definitely fast.

Aside from its fast printing speed, the ESP 5 printer also features a 3-inch color LCD display to let you view and crop your photos before printing them. The USB and memory card slot allows for printing photos even if the printer is not connected to a camera or PC. In addition, the ESP 5 also comes equipped with an intelligent paper sensor that automatically adjusts settings based on paper type, how cool is that? And yes, the ESP 5 printer also has a Bluetooth capability.

The Kodak ESP 5 retails for $169 and will start shipping on May 5. You can be the first to snag one of this printers if you pre-order online now through the Kodak site.

Its name says Picto, DigiArt, and i90. The company used three different terms to identify this new gadget, and yet none of these is camera, digicam, or videocam. That’s because this new do-it-all can’t really fit into any one of those categories, seeing as how many different features it packs under the hood. It’s got an MP3 player, a voice recorder, a 30fps MPEG-4 video recorder, a 1GB SD memory card included in the retail package, and it’s a 9-megapixel camera with face detection and anti-shake technology. Currently selling for ₩179,000 (or about $185) in Korea, this is about as all-encompassing as a point-and-shoot digital camera can get. Although there haven’t been any details about when, or if ever it will be available in the US, we know one thing’s for sure: if the makers of this gadget were taught only three things during their childhood, these are the following: convergence, convergence, and convergence! Of course while it seems to do just about everything, we are not sure how well it will actually handle each of those tasks.

Epson’s RX 595 all in one printer has it all. It prints, it scans, and can even read memory cards and print directly to CDs.

After opening the box, I quickly set up the printer and scrounged around for a USB A male to USB B male cable (which, unfortunately, was not included with the printer) and popped in the software CD. I was a bit disappointed that my MacBook could not automatically detect and use the printer, but installing the software was for the best. Though this is probably not a universal problem, the unit I received had a problem during its initial setup with paper jams. However, after a few aggravating minutes, the jams stopped and printing was smooth as could be.

Dell has added their (PRODUCT) Red items to their website, officially they are offering the XPS One desktop, XPS M1330 laptop, XPS M1530 laptop and the 948 all-in-one printer.
