Move over, 007 – the doors to spy craft just opened to the public. Sharp recently announced its new 5-megapixel CMOS camera (RJ63SC100), purportedly the world smallest. Measuring in at only 9.5 x 9.5 x 6.6mm, the device even offers auto focus for better image quality. The new camera will expected to be available for mass production in July. The camera’s diminutive size, surprising thinness, and high resolution would enable future devices (phones, etc.) to have ultra small cameras.  While it is easy to see its use in the race for smaller and sleeker phones, more inventive uses (shades cam? Camera in your shirt buttons?) are also possible.

We recently saw the leaked images for the upcoming Motorola ZN5, however those came with very few details. Well the details are still limited, but now we have some more official looking images to offer up. These latest images appear to be authentic press style images would could indicate that we will be seeing an official announcement soon. Hopefully so, then we will be able to learn all the specs the ZN5 will be offering.

Some images have recently surfaced showing off what is claimed to be the upcoming Motorola ZN5, and while they cannot be authenticated, this seems to be a really nice offering.

The ZN5 is a candybar style handset that is as much as phone as a camera. While some, well actually a lot of the detail and specs are still unknown, these few images offer up enough goodies to keep us more than interested. The handset will feature a 5-megapixel camera with a Xenon flash and auto-focus, which according to the images are Kodak made. According to earlier reports, the ZN5 is set to be launched during the second half of 2008, have built-in GPS and running Linux.

LG has officially announced its Secret—a new 5-megapixel camera phone that is able to capture video in DivX quality at 120 fps. Set for a European release sometime in 2008, the LG’s Secret, aka KF-750, actually belongs to LG’s Black Label series.

The Secret boasts of being the slimmest 5-megapixel camera phone at just 11.8mm (0.46-inches) thick. But don’t let its thickness persuade you into believing that the LG Secret will offer you features as thin as its body. On the contrary, the LG Secret wallops some heavies aside from its camera. Other features include a carbon fiber casing, tempered glass LCD and neon touch features. If those materials sound familiar, that’s because those are the materials commonly used in aircrafts and high-performance cars.
