MSI intro’s the fashionably stylish 13-inch EX310 laptop

MSI has announced its new EX310 laptop highlighted by features such as a 13-inch ACV widescreen display, a “fashionably athletic” (yes, we meant athletic) design and AMD’s newest Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor. Measuring 12.2 (w) x 9.06 (d) x 0.98-1.46 (h) inches and weighing only 4.19 pounds including its battery, the EX310 is certainly a portable powerhouse despite its magnesium alloy casing.
The EX310 boasts of powerful features including an ATi HD3450 3D graphics card with DDR3 256MB VRAM, an HDMI output, 2nd generation Dolby Surround Sound, AI Array microphone, a built-in 2.0 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an integrated DTV receiver, fingerprint reader for data security, three USB 2.0 ports and a built-in multi-DVD writer. The EX310 will be available in either dazzling blue or brilliant red design.
Pricing information and international release date are yet to be announced. Hopefully, MSI will decide to make this laptop available in the international market at a highly competitive price. Given its small size, the EX310 could be a better alternative to the 10-inch netbooks that have been proliferating in the portable PC market lately.

Dell gives us a 13-inch Inspiron laptop

Dell has introduced a new laptop in its Inspiron product line called the Inspiron 13. Surprisingly, Dell has shifted to a smaller LCD for its newest laptop, with the Inspiron 13 sporting a 13-inch display. Dell has been known for its laptops which have either a 14-inch or 15-inch display.
The Inspiron 13 boasts of touch-sensitive media buttons, an 8-in-1 media card reader, slot-loading DVD drive and some nifty optional features including a built-in broadband wireless networking, built-in webcam and Bluetooth 2.0. This laptop will be available in glossy Pacific blue design with black trimmings. Portability is not an issue as well, as the Inspiron 13 weighs less than 5 pounds.
Dell’s new Inspiron 13 will set you back $699, and will be on sale at Wal-Mart starting on August 3. However, if you can wait for a few more weeks Dell is also planning to make it available on their website with some options to configure based on your needs.
