This slipped by last week during PMA; Sony is introducing a digital photo album storage device with high-definition output, for your living room. The HDPS-L1 has an 80 GB hard drive, eight slideshow styles with image transitions synchronized to music and high-definition video output. The device automatically sorts picture files by their creation date and includes an option to group images by type, such as travels and holidays.
The HDPS-L1 hard drive photo storage supports seven types of flash media: Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, CompactFlash, Multi Media Card, Microdrive, xD and SD cards. Transferring pictures only requires a one-touch copy button.
The HDPS-L1 photo storage device will be available in May for about $300.
