We can only imagine that Skype is offering a preemptive response to AOL’s upcoming VoIP phone service, Phoneline, because they are now offering free outgoing calls. SkypeOut allows you to dial any regular phone from your PC or Skype access point. In the past it cost dialer’s a few cents a minute to make outgoing calls but these charges have been dropped for calls within the US and Canada (US-US and Canada-Canada). International calling will still costs some change but this is a great new option.
