Rogers Wireless has officially confirmed that the iPhone will finally be headed into Canada. In a simple announcement, CEO Ted Rogers stated that the iPhone will be available on Rogers “later this year,” and sadly left it at that.
“We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”
It’s nice to have the confirmation, but there are some major details left out, such as an availability date and any plan details. While here in the US we are eagerly awaiting the launch of the rumored 3G iPhone, our Northern neighbors are finally going to land a iPhone. While a date has not been confirmed, the rumor has it becoming available during the summer months.
