PS3 game pricing come inline with Xbox 360

There was a slight scare when Sony announced the pricing for games in Japan, converting to around $80 here in the US but thankfully that is not the case. While in Japan the hardware system will receive a price drop the games will cost more (the printer/ink cartridge model). In the US the system prices will be staying at the $499 and $599 price points but games will be starting at only $59.99.

The one penny less than $60 price point is the same as for Xbox 360 games at launch time. Sony Style has begun taking preorders for PS3 games there are currently eight titles including Call of Duty 3, Lair, Warhawk, Motorstorm and four others.
