The last GPS announced by Pioneer, is probably the best one they announced so far. It combines all the features present in the AVIC-F900BT as well as the AVIC-F700BT and then some. Some of the new features include 3D landmarks and the audio quality is greatly improved, with Hi-voltage pre-outs. Otherwise, like all of the AVIC-F series, it comes with a 5.8-inch WVGA screen, 12 million points-of-interest and of course Bluetooth.
Larry Rougas, Vice President of marketing and product planning for the mobile business group, has this to say regarding the AVIC-F GPS units:
“Pioneer’s AVIC-F series navigation systems are the ideal solution for millions of drivers who want an in-car product that can be easily integrated with other mobile personal devices, whether it is an iPod or Bluetooth enabled cell phone, these offerings create a higher level in-car experience with navigation, entertainment and voice recognition capabilities - beyond what anyone will find on almost all current standard navigation systems in the market.”
Also, for the other two GPS units, to use the iPod function, the CD-IU230V is required, however, it comes included with this GPS. Finally, just like the others, this one is also slated for a June 8 release, and it will retail for $1,200.
