Philips 9@9j; First AAA-powered cell phone going into production

Philips has unveiled a production model of the 9@9j, yes 9@9j is the name, and as strange as that sounds it gets even better. The phone has a standard rechargeable lithium ion battery but it also uses a single AAA battery. The AAA battery acts as a backup to the standard battery and provides up to three hours of additional talk time. Expect the 9@9j to be available in April 2008, pricing information has not been announced.
