Palm plans to announce new Treo this Thursday at Digital Life

In an effort to stir up a little commotion, Palm has issued a statement that they will be releasing a new member of the Treo family this Thursday.

Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Colligan today invites media to join him for a press conference at DigitalLife on Thursday, Oct. 12, to announce a new Treo(TM) product.

The press conference will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Lunch will begin at 12:30 p.m. EDT, and the press conference will follow at 1 p.m. EDT.

Now the only question is which one will it be?  The Treo 680 or the 750?  My money’s on the 680.  Next stop, Cingular.
