Sony’s highly anticipated electronic ink reader is now available for order. We have waited almost a year to take all of our books on vacation, and we’re not just talking about the skinny ones. The Sony Reader holds about 80 electronic books — and hundreds more with an additional Memory Stick or SD Memory Card. The unit weighs about 9 ounces, is very easy on your eyes to read, and has battery life for 7,500 continuous pages on a single charge. Content can be transfered via your PC (RSS feeds, PDF files, Word documents) or via Sony’s eBook Connect store with books ranging in price from $5.59 to $14.00.

The Reader will be shipping on or before October 31st for $349.99.
