Nokia lowers, then raises the price on the N810 Internet Tablet

It seems the wonderful $90 price cut that Nokia had offered up on the N810 Internet Tablet was not as permanent as we would have hoped.
The $90 price cut was great to see because that lowered the price from the regular retail of $479 down to $389. Which would be what I would describe as a great deal, but unfortunately the price has since gone back up to $439. Which makes the great $90 price cut a respectable $50 price cut.
So for those lucky enough to make that purchase last night you may have scored an N810 at a fantastic price, especially if you are familiar with any of those “save 15% off” coupon codes that you get from so many podcasts.
Nokia must have made a mistake on the price and made a quick attempt to correct it, had it not been blogged about here, and here, and here, and here along with many other places I would have thought that I just read it wrong in the first place.
All I can really say is bad deal Nokia, you lowered the price (mistake or not) and received a lot of attention over the deal. I like your products but this was a big screw up, I had planned to grab the N810 at that lower price, but was too lazy to grab my wallet last night fully intending to order this morning. Of course if I had placed my order at that lower price would you have honored it?
