MSI Taiwan has announced the VR340 13-inch notebook boasting of aerodynamic and elementary exterior design that also conceals opening on its edges. Weighing only a mere 4.85-pounds, the VR340 adds to the slew of made-for-always-on-the-go notebook users.
MSI seemed to have put more emphasis on giving users a notebook model that is a pleasant to use even on prolong hours. The VR340’s strength lies on its ergonomic design and not so much on its technical capabilities. But that’s not saying that MSI is a mediocre machine, because the VR340 has its share of technical features which is at par with industry standards.
However, MSI is touting the VR340’s swift and practical design as the notebook’s selling point. MSI said that the VR340 is a “perfect work of art on display,” boosting of a practical and yet elegant design. And the VR340’s full-sized ergonomic keyboard makes prolonged typing more comfortable than other notebooks in the market.
Other than providing users with ease of use, the MSI VR340 also packs other goodies including; dual-core processor, Intel GL960-lCH8-M chipset, 13.3-inch crystal vision TFT display, built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam and wireless mic for live-conferencing, 3GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, an 80GB hard drive with an option to upgrade to 250GB, and a DVD Super Multi optical drive.
The MSI VR340 is now available in the Taiwan market. No word yet from MSI as to when or if it will be available anywhere else.
