Intel has decided to break away from their partnership with the OLPC project due to “disagreements with the organization’s founder, Nicholas Negroponte.” This news should not be that surprising to most people. Keep in mind that Intel currently has their own project, the Classmate PC that is similar to the OLPC, not to mention the XO laptops are currently using AMD hardware. The board position that Intel has stepped down from was held for about six months.
