eMusic, a subscription based service that allows you to download a fixed number of tracks each month, starting at $9.99 per month have just announced their user-base has crossed the 300,000 mark.
This figure puts them second to the largest online music service, iTunes - a huge feat and accomplishment for any company.
Speaking as a member of eMusic, I personally love the service even though the music is far less mainstream than iTunes. I’ve discovered many great albums through eMusic, and it continues to be one of my favorite places to obtain new music.
It is also important to note that eMusic files are downloaded in MP3 format, not ACC, WMA, or any other limiting DRM file.
