E3 2006: Nintendo Wii to run Opera Browser

Gadgets on the Go is reporting that the Nintendo Wii will use the Opera browser for its internet surfing and connectivity. Opera isn’t revealing specific capabilities of the Wii browser, which is still in development, but said it will be a full-featured browser. Microsoft’s Xbox 360, does not come with a browser but users can download limited functionality browsers to the console. There has not been an announcement from Sony yet on whether the PS3 will have a browser or not. Wii customers will browse the Internet using the same controllers they play games with, the companies said.
