Asus Eee PC now available in the US

Asus has officially launched their Eee PC, now available for sale in the US. The Eee PC 4G is available at online retailer NewEgg for $399. The Eee PC is small and very lightweight, coming in at under 2-pounds. It has a 7-inch display, 512MB RAM, 4GB of flash storage and runs a customized Linux operating system. It can run in either “Easy” or full desktop mode, has built in WLAN connectivity and webcam and offers up to 3.5 hours of battery life. The Eee PC 4G would make a great travel laptop for someone on the go or even an easy to use setup for that non-computer literate family member.
