With the release of the new MacBook and the rest of the Intel-Mac class Apple is pushing early to get Macs into the hands of students for the 2006-2007 school year. When you buy a Mac and a iPod nano by September 16, 2006, Apple will send you a $179.99 mail-in rebate (the exact price of the 2GB nano with the educational discount). The marketing tries to push students towards this 2GB nano but the rebate will work on any iPod $179.99 or more, so you can greatly reduce the price of a 60GB pod.
