Yet another Eee PC competitor; Fukato intro’s the Datacask Jupiter

The Asus Eee PC’s got a new competitor all the way from Germany with Fukato’s Datacask Jupiter. Sporting an inch bigger LCD display as that of the original Eee PC, the Datacask Jupiter still offers the same 800 x 480 resolution. What’s good about the Datacask Jupiter is that it does not pretend to be something different from the Asus Eee PC. From the looks and feature alone, the Datacask Jupiter is very much a copycat of the Eee PC. Well except of course for the 20GB hard drive.
The Datacask Jupiter will be offered for a low price of $440 and feature a 500 MHz AMD Geode LX processor, 20GB 1.8-inch hard drive, 512MB of RAM, Linux OS, 3 hour battery time, Wi-Fi and a 3 year warranty package. The Fukato Datacask Jupiter will be available in the German market sometime in May.
