Earlier this morning, Yahoo! announced their new service called Yahoo! Go. The service seems like an alteration to already popular Konfabulator (which they purchased), and has some Windows Media Center-like features to it as well. According to Terry Semel, Yahoo’s Chairman and CEO, Go products will have 4 key features to them. They will give you a seamless experience, the software knows what device it is on so it will adapt to the screen size (TV, PC, or Cell phone), it will be personalized, and it’s built on an open platform. The company’s COO, Dan Rosensweig demonstrated Go for the audience in Las Vegas. Go is made up of little widgets… called Yahoo! Widgets (clever) on a Yahoo Dashboard. The widgets will work on your cell phone and will allow you to do anything you do on the web… on your phone. Oh and by the way, the screenshots of it on a PC looks identical to Google’s Sidebar. Some screenshots after the break.
